28mm Old West Wide Front #1
B28-OW-450
Please read these instructions fully before starting construction.
PVA or equivalent glue will be required to stick sections together.
Sand paper can be used to gently clean any joints.
A sharp modelling knife will be required to remove sections from the sprue. Please use knives with due care and remember
to cut away from yourself at all times.
During the construction of this model, you may find it convenient to use pegs / elastic bands to hold pieces in place while
you allow glue to dry.
Remove the two base pieces and the frame from the
sprue.
Glue the frame to the plank section, then glue the
other base section under it using the lugs to align
them.
Glue the rear plate into place.
While the assembly dries, place it against a rear
section to ensure it doesn’t tilt forwards.
Take the insert pieces from the sprue.
Glue these into the gaps in the framework.
Take the door and supports from the sprue.
Glue the lower support into place. Allow to dry.
Place the lower lug of the door into the lower support,
then sit the upper support onto the top lug before
gently easing it into place (see pic).
Apply some glue to the upper support and then slide
it completely into position.
The windows and surrounds.
Glue the surrounds into place in the upper windows,
then glue the windows into place they should be
at the top of the window gaps, leaving a space
underneath.
The window sills.
Glue the sills underneath each window.
Glue your desired sign in place.
Choices: Notary, Saloon or Assay Office
The ends of the upper surround.
Glue these into position one at each side.
Take the three arches.
Glue the arches back-to-back then attach them to the
model as shown above.
The pieces of the front porch.

You can either glue the porch to the model or leave it
free-standing.
Each sign-board is made from the front piece and
two side supports.
Glue the side supports to the front bar as shown.
The selected sign board can be glued to the porch,
or you can leave them loose to swap around
