Standard Terms and Conditions
Models: GSI series
ACCULAB warrants the product series "GSI" against defects in material and
workmanship to the original consumer for a peroid of twelve (12) months or
a maximum of fifteen (15) months from date of sale to authorized ACCULAB
distributor. The warranty includes parts, labor and return shipping charges to
customer (ground freight).
This specific warranty shall not apply to any product damaged due to accident,
misuse, abuse, lightning strike, power surges, improper packaging for shipment to
ACCULAB, or service/modification by anyone other than an authorized ACCULAB
Technician.
The purchaser's sole remedy, ACCULAB and its suppliers sole liability are set forth
herein. In no event shall ACCULAB or its suppliers be liable for any damages,
incidental or consequential, expenses, lost profits, lost savings, or any other claims
due to the use or inability to use the product/s. ACCULAB shall limit its obligations
under warranty to a time not to exceed the original product warranty period set
forth herein. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other
rights, which may be different from state to state.
In the event that service is required, the Customer/Distributor should call
ACCULAB (800-656-4400, extension 8342) for proper return authorization. The
product must be delivered to ACCULAB, Service Division 6542 Fig Street, Arvada,
CO., 80004 within the warranty period, freight charges prepaid. The customer is
responsible for product removal, installation and proper packing in order to
prevent damage while shipping to ACCULAB Service facility.
This limited warranty supersedes all other warranties pertaining to the ACCULAB
products, whether expressed or implied. Claims may be made by calling 800-656-

ERROR CODE
Following is a description of typical error codes that may appear on
GSI-Series balances.
1)
L
This indicates that the balance is under loaded. Check to see
if the weighing pan is properly installed and seated on the top of
the unit. Performing the calibration procedure may cure this prob-
lem, otherwise, contact Acculab for repair.
2)
H
This indicates that there may be an excessive weight applied
to the weighing pan. It is critical not to exceed the maximum load
capacity by more than 150% or damage to the balance may occur.
This may also be an indication that the unit needs to be calibrated.
Performing the calibration procedure may cure this problem, other-
wise, contact Acculab for repair.
3)

This code refers to an error generated due to a sensor
problem. The most common cause is from objects being dropped
onto the weighing pan or from the balance itself being dropped.
Contact Acculab for repair.
4)
E
R
57
This code occurs when the electronics are no longer
within the factory set parameters. The most common cause is from
rough or improper handling of the balance. Contact Acculab for
repair.

Thank you for purchasing the Acculab GSI-Series electronic
balance. The GSI-Series is designed to be easy to use and
durable. This unit is supplied with a 9V alkaline battery and
also operates with an AC adapter sold separately. Calibra-
tion is recommended and should be done periodically
depending on usage.

Press and release key to turn on. A segment
display will appear , then 0g/0.0g. Press and release key to
toggle between the other available weighing modes. Note-
when turned on unit will default to last weighing mode used.

Press and release to tare or re-zero the unit. Tare
is to capacity by subtraction. Press and hold to turn unit off.

1. Hold down both the TARE/OFF and ON/MODE keys (appx.
7-10 sec.). The display reads the calibration weight of 2000g
for the GSI-2001 and 200.0g for GSI-200, release the buttons.
2. Place the appropriate M2 class weight (NOT INCLUDED)
in the center of the weighing pan.
3. When the arrow appears next to the "g" calibration is com-
plete. Remove the calibration weight and begin weighing.

When battery power is low the unit will blink
"bAtt" for 1 minute then turn off. Replace with new 9V alka-
line battery located under panel on bottom of unit.
Battery life is approximately 50 hours
under continuous operation
.

The balance display will blink after 2 minutes of
non use. After another 2 minutes of blinking (4 minutes total)
the unit will shut off to conserve battery power.

An arrow appears at the right side of the display to
indicate the weighing mode in use. Arrow will disappear when
the processor is operating and reappears when a stable weight
value is determined.
