Adding the USB3.1 host controller card to an existing
Windows system
Software Installation:
Note: Install Asmedia driver first by running the
setup file from the CD that came with
your package before installing the host controller.
A Follow the setup wizard steps to install the Addonics USB3.1 host
controller driver
B After driver installation, it is recommended to shutdown your system.
Hardware Installation:
1. Power off PC and remove its cover.
2. Select an empty PCI-E slot and insert the USB3.1 host controller.
3. Makes sure to secure the bracket with a screw. Close the PC cover.
4. Attach a 15-pin SATA power cable from the system’s power supply to
the 15-pin SATA power connector on the host controller.
Confirming USB3.1 Driver Installation
1. Right click the My Computer icon and select Manage.
2. Click Device Manager in the Menu Tree.
3. For XP, Vista, Server 2003, Server 2008, Win7
Click the “+” sign in front of Universal Serial Bus Controllers.

'ASMedia XHCI Controller'. Select 'Properties'
Select the 'Driver' tab. Select the 'Driver Details' button
Follow file should displayed, then installation was
successful:
'system32\DRIVERS\asmtxhci.sys'
