Operations of use and maintenance for the automatic pay station
To enter maintenance mode, bring the operator card to the
front part of the RFID reader.
The display shows the list of authorised operations depending
on the rights assigned to the card used.
The cards are personal and programmed according to
the permissions assigned to the operators. For more
information see the online help section.
When the PS is in maintenance mode, the upper left
corner of the display shows the main configuration
information (version, ID, Plant, IP).
Opening the pay station without first swiping the card
trips an alarm.
At the beginning of maintenance, the pay station issues a
receipt with information on PS status.
To open the door of the top and central compartment insert the
key vertically, push it completely and turn it 360 ° clockwise.
The key that opens the top compartment is different from
the one that opens the bottom compartment.
Select from the task you want to perform from the display
menu, by pressing the keys that are on the side of the display.
How to access Maintenance mode
WEAR THE PROPER PROTECTIVE GLOVES FOR ALL MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS TO BE PERFORMED INSIDE THE PAY STATION
(FOR EXAMPLE CAT.2 EN 388 TYPE 4131).

When finished, close the doors, press the key at the bottom
and turn it 360 degrees counter-clockwise.
Press the END OPERATIONS on the display.
The pay station gives a summary receipt.

How to load coins into the change-giver hopper
How to load bills into the acceptor with change-giver(optional).
The operation is configurable by software.
How to access Maintenance mode
From the display menu select the operation:
LOAD
AUTOMATIC
COIN LOADER
Open the door of the top compartment and load the coins as
shown in the figure.
Close the door.
From the display menu select the operation: START LOADING.
By default, the coins are channelled to the coin acceptor that
sorts them into the change-giver depending on the value.
On the display, choose END OPERATIONS. The pay station
gives a summary receipt of the coins loaded.
You can load bills from the reader/changer-giver (optional).
The operation is also possible with the top compartment door
closed.
From the display menu select the operation: LOAD BILLS.
A blue LED switches on when the reader/change-diver is
ready.
Enter the notes one at a time.
If the bill is recognized and validated by the system is it
conveyed to the cash recycle compartment.
If the bill is not recognized it is rejected by the system.
If the bill is approved, but not validated for recycling (for
example, the bill is ruined), it is conveyed in the toll drawer.
On the display, choose END OPERATIONS. The pay station
gives a summary receipt at end of maintenance.

How to replace the receipt print paper roll
Access Maintenance mode
Open the door of the top compartment.
A red LED is located at the base of the printer:
- it blinks to indicate that the paper is running low
- it is permanently on to indicate no paper.
Lift the tab to release the catch of the printer.
Widen the tabs and replace the roll.
Pull out some paper past the printer latch.
Pulling the paper taut, lower the printer latch and lock in place.
The printer performs a test print.
Close the door.
On the display, choose END OPERATIONS. The pay station gives
a summary receipt.

How to empty the toll ticket box
Remove the used toll ticket box located under the reader/
printer and empty.
Refit the container.
Replace the reader / printer into place and lock the two latches.
Close the door of the top compartment.
On the display, choose END OPERATIONS. The pay station gives
a summary receipt.
Access Maintenance mode
Open the door of the top compartment.
Open both latches of the reader / printer.
Pull the reader / printer from its seat and channel it into the
upper guide.
Lift the scanner / printer and place it in a vertical position to
access the bottom.

Place 300/400 tickets in the container.
Insert the ticket into the guide of the reader / printer with the
thermal side facing up, and the reader / printer captures the
ticket automatically.
Refit the reader/printer in place and lock the two latches.
Close the door of the top compartment.
On the display, choose END OPERATIONS. The pay station gives
a summary receipt.
Access Maintenance mode
Open the door of the top compartment.
Open both latches of the reader / printer.
Move the reader / printer forward, sliding on the guides.
There is no indication that tickets are running low or have finished.

print.

Open the door of the central compartment.
Pull out the toll drawer.
The hole on the top of the drawer closes automatically
with a security drop-down partition.
The anti-theft drawer can only be opened with the key.
How to withdraw coins
Drop-down partition for secure locking of the anti-theft drawer.
The target locations of the coins are software configurable.

Proceed as follows if there is a jam during ticket reading or printing.

Close the drawer with the key and insert it into its seat, pushing it until you hear the cocked click.
Close the door.
On the display, choose END OPERATIONS. The pay station gives a summary receipt.
Open the security drop-down partition by pressing the fastener
A to the left and turning the lever B in the clockwise direction.
If the drawer is not tripped, an alarm appears on the
pay station display.
How to withdraw tolls in bills
Access Maintenance mode
From the display menu select the operation:
TOLL WITHDRAWAL
BILL WITHDRAWAL
Open the door of the central compartment.
Pull out the toll drawer.
The acceptor LED lights alternately and repeatedly with 2 red
flashes and 1 blue flash.
Open the toll drawer using the key.
The hatch is on the back of the drawer.
Take the tolls, close the hatch using the key and insert the drawer into its seat.
The system automatically runs a control test. The reader LED goes dark if the operations were correctly performed.
Close the door of the central compartment.
On the display, choose END OPERATIONS. The pay station gives a summary receipt.

How to empty the coin hopper
Access Maintenance mode of the pay station.
From the display menu select the operation:
UNLOAD
UNLOAD COINS
Select the hopper to empty from the display:
CHANGE-RETURN 1
CHANGE-RETURN 2
CHANGE-RETURN 3.
The dispenser ejects all the coins into the change-return
compartment.
Retrieve the coins.
On the display, choose END OPERATIONS. The pay station gives
a summary receipt.
As standard, the central compartment contains a multi-value
coin hopper.
A total of 2 additional single.value hoppers or 1 bill hopper can
be added.
How to load or unload the bill hopper (optional)
Access Maintenance mode
From the display menu select the operation:
UNLOAD
AUTOMATIC BILL UNLOADING.
Open the door of the central compartment.
Remove the bill hopper.
The bill hopper and its functions scan be configured using software.
Lift the bill hopper hatch and take the bills.

How to recover bills rejected by the bill hopper
The bill hopper performs a banknote scan and ruined bills are stored in the drawer that is above the hopper.
Access Maintenance mode of the pay station.
From the display menu select the operation:
AUTOMATIC UNLOADING OF REJECTED BILLS.
Open the door of the central compartment.
All bills must be perfectly aligned when loading them
into the hopper.
Insert banknotes in the seat, lower the hatch and press the
notes from the back of the hopper.
Insert the hopper into place and close the central compartment
hatch.
On the display, enter the number of banknotes loaded or
withdrawn.
Choose END OPERATIONS. The pay station gives a summary
receipt.
Open the drawer and retrieve the discarded notes.
Close the drawer.
Close the door.
On the display, enter the number of banknotes removed.
Choose END OPERATIONS. The pay station gives a summary
receipt.

If this action is not sufficient, press the coin acceptor retaining
lever which is located at the back of the unit.
Turn the coin acceptor on the lower pins and remove it from
its seat.
Shake the coin acceptor.
The coin acceptor is connected with two cables. Do not
tug or disconnect them, and arrange them in such a way
as not to be a burden when refitting the coin acceptor
after completing the operation.
Access Maintenance mode of the pay station.
Open the door of the top compartment.
Lift the coin acceptor hatch and clear the jam.

Put the coin acceptor in place by inserting it in the lower pins.
Also check that the feed channel there are no other coins stuck.
Press the retaining lever to the rear and lock it into place.
Close the door.

The acceptor and changer-giver unit has a rear
compartment to store bills.
Pull out the toll drawer.
Press the tab under the handle and pull out the payment device.
Press the latch on the lid of the payment device and lift the
cover.
Clear the paper jam.
Lower the cover down until it locks.
Enter the payment device and the toll drawer into their seats.
Reconnect the connector.
The system automatically runs a control test. The LED
goes dark if the operations were correctly performed.
Replace the crossbar fixing it with the pin.
Close both hatches.
On the display, choose END OPERATIONS. The pay station gives
a summary receipt.
