1.1 To begin, connect the
included power adapter,
RJ11 telephone line cable
and USB cable to the power
port, the line port and the
USB port of base station
respectively.
1.2 Insert the included
two NiMH
rechargeable, AAA
batteries into the
battery compartment
of the handset
Place the handset
into the base for
charging
NOTE: For the initial charge,
the battery is required to be
charged for at least 15 hours
1.3 Connect the USB cable
into your PC’s USB port.
Note: The handset are already pre-
registered with the base unit. No more pairing
is required by the user. Please refer to the
Manual’s Setting
for further information on
registration.
2.1 Start the Skype software on
your PC, and log into your
skype account
2.2 If this is the first time to use
the SS210 with PC, you will
be asked to allow its software
to access Skype. Select
allow this program to use
skype and click ok
2.3 You can optionally select Allow this
program to use Skype, but ask again in the
future option. But you should always let this
program use Skype so that you can use the
phone.
If you accidentally select the Do not allow
this program to use Skype option, open
Skype window and take these steps:
Click Tools > Options > Privacy > Manage
other program’s access to Skype.
Select USBPHONE 4SKYPE.EXE and click
Change, then re-select a proper option to let the
provided program access Skype.
1.5 Insert the provided CD into
your PC CD-ROM drive .
The setup should run
automatically and the setup
screen should appear.
If the setup does not run
automatically, please click
start menu. Click run.
Enter “ D:\setup.exe” ( if D
is the letter of your CD
ROM drive)
Click Next
all the way
down.
1.6 Click Install
1.7 Click Finish to exit the
setup.
1.4 If the skype is not yet installed on your computer,
please download the skype installation file from
www.skype.com
NOTE: Please refer to the
user manual’s Troubleshooting
section if CD autorun still fail.
NOTE: If the driver is not
active, please double-click the
Aztech Skype Dect icon on
your Desktop

Connect the other end of RJ11 line cable to your
telephone wall jack.
Important safety information
This equipment is not designed for making emergency calls in the event of a power failure. Alternative
arrangements should be made for access to emergency services.
(This means that you should also have a basic phone that does not need mains power, connected to your
line so that you can make calls during a power failure)
People with a heart pacemaker should consult their doctor before using the telephone.
If you wear a hearing aid, you should note SS210 works by transmitting radio waves between base and
handset that may cause a humming noise.
1. DO NOT clean any part of your phone with benzene, thinner or other solvent chemicals, which may
cause permanent damage to your phone. This damage is not covered by the Guarantee. When
necessary, clean it with a damp cloth. Cleaning it with a wet cloth may give you an electric shock.
2. DO NOT use this equipment in places where volatile or explosive materials may be present.
3. DO NOT let the base unit get wet. Electrical equipment can cause serious injury if used while you are
wet or standing in water. NEVER use your phone during a thunderstorm. Unplug the base unit from the
telephone line and the mains socket when there are storms in your area. Damage caused by lightning is
not covered by the Guarantee.
4. The SS210 will produce a certain amount of heat during operation. For this reason it is recommended
that this equipment is NOT placed in direct contact with antique, veneered or delicate furniture surfaces.
5. DO NOT dispose batteries with normal household waste, never burn them, or put them where they
could get punctured.
6. The SS210 DECT phone emits radio signals which could interfere with other electronic equipment,
computers, radio, TV set, clock radio alarms, etc.A distance of at least one meter should be maintained
between SS210 base station and other equipment. This will minimize the risk of such interference.
7. When you do not need to carry your handsets around, leave them on the base unit or charger pod, to
keep the batteries charged.
8. If you hear a warning tone as move around during a call, and/ or the sound in the earpiece becomes
faint or distorted; you may be going out of range of the base unit.Move nearer to the base unit within 20
seconds, until the tone stops. Otherwise your call may be cut off.
2.4 Press and hold the power/End call key to
power on the handset
2.5 For the skype call, press the up key on
the handset to view your skype contact
list. Select a contact, and then press the
Call Key
2.6 For the landline calls, simply press the
call key and dial out the telephone
number.
