STEP 1:
Connect the heartrate grip cable coming out of the handle to the
corresponding recepticle on the frame. Install the user right side heartrate handle using
a 5mm allen key to secure four (4) pieces each of the M6 x 20mm socket head cap
screws and M6 hex lock nuts and (8) pieces of the M6 flat washer. Torque to 12 Ft-Lb
(17Nm). Be sure that a washer is included between the screw and the handle as well as
the hex nut and the frame. DO NOT FULLY TIGHTEN YET.
STEP 2: Using a crescent wrench and a 16mm socket, secure one (1) piece each of the
M10 x 70mm bolt and M10 hex lock nut and two (2) pieces of the M10 flat washer. Torque to
59 Ft-Lb (80 Nm). Be sure that a washer is included between the bolt and the frame as well
as the hex nut and the frame. Once the M10 x 70mm bolt is installed, tighten the M6 x 20mm
socket head cap screws from step 1. Also ensure that the rear heartrate grip grommet is
installed onto the handle. Repeat steps 1 + 2 for the user left heartrate handle.
STEP 3: Install the outside user right rear swing link shroud then use a 4mm allen key
to secure two (2) pieces each of the M5 x 12mm socket head cap screws and M6 flat
washers. Be careful not to overtighten as this could damage the shroud. Also ensure that
the fore heartrate grip grommet is installed onto the handle.
STEP 4: Install the inside user right rear swing link shroud using a
4mm allen key to secure five (5) pieces of the M5 x 25mm socket head
cap screws. Be careful not to overtighten as this could damage the
shroud. Repeat steps 3 + 4 for the user left outside and inside rear swing
link shrouds.
STEP 5: Pass the wires through the beauty ring then route them up and out of the
top of the mast . Install the mast onto the unit and secure using a 5mm allen key to
secure four (4) pieces each of the M8 x 16mm button head cap screws and M8 flat
washers. Torque to 11 Ft-Lb (16 Nm) taking care not to pinch or damage any of the
wires. Lift the top shroud grommet and secure the left side mast set screw using a 4mm
allen key. Once secure, lower the top shroud grommet and tuck the perimeter edging
into the shroud. Be sure that the console grommet is also installed onto the mast.
Finally, attach the yellow/green ground wire to the ground clip located on the console
mount.
STEP 6: Install the user right side arm using a crescent wrench and a 16mm socket
with a torque wrench to secure two (2) pieces each of the M10 x 60mm bolt and M10 hex
lock nut and four (4) pieces each of the M10 flat washers. Be sure that a washer is
included between the bolt and the arm as well as the hex nut and the arm. Torque to 66
Ft-Lb (90Nm). Please note that the arms are right/left side specific. Be sure to connect the
level adjustment buttons cable to the corresponding receptacle and feed any extra wire
back into the unit and/or arm. Repeat step 6 for the user left side arm.
STEP 7: Install the user right side inner and outer handle pivot shrouds and secure
together using a 4mm allen key and four (4) pieces of M5 x 25mm socket head cap
screw. DO NOT FULLY TIGHTEN YET. Be sure to run the cable for the left and right arm
adjustment buttons above the support ribs in the outer handle pivot shroud. Install the
user right side pivot cap between the user right inner and outer handle pivot shrouds, then
tighten the four (4) M5 x 25mm socket head cap screws using a 4mm allen key. Repeat
step 7 for the user left side handle pivot shrouds.
STEP 8: Press the rear step assembly firmly down onto the frame so
the clips fully engage with the frame. Adjust the rear step assembly
leveling feet so the rear step assembly is level and then use the jam nuts
to lock the leveling feet adjusters in place.
Step 9: Fasten the back half of the console assembly to the mast
using the screws supplied with the console. Connect the appropriate
wires coming out of the mast to the correct console locations. Please
reference the console wiring guide (Doc # 620-8479) that comes with the
console.
