Purpose of the Interface plate
The Interface plate is ex clusively designed for the Barco DP2K- xxB series Digital Cinema projectors and can thus not be used on
any other equipment.

One projector can be us ed as a m aster projector and the other one as a backup projector. The b ackup projector and m aster projector
can not be of the same type.

WARNING: The procedures below may only be performed by Barco trained and qualied technicians.
WARNING: Do not use the interface plate anymore if the blind rivet nuts becam e loose. Using the interface
plate with loose blind rivet n uts can cause a suspended pro jector to f all dow n an d cause serious injury or
dea th.

How does the special bolt work?
A spec ial customized bolt (reference 1, image 1-11) with a partly reduced diameter is used. Drive the bolt in the blind rivet nut
(reference 2, image 1-11) until it comes loose again.

How to lock a stacking point?
Lock a stacking point by rotating the ring a quarter turn clockwise w hile pushing it downwa rds u ntil the ring it clicks in (image 1-12).

2.1 Using a RLM as backup projector standing conguration
Necessary tools
17 m m open-end wrench
How to setup?
1. Prepare the interface plate:
a) Install the 4 lock washers and 4 special bolts (reference 1, image 2-1) on the interface plate in the holes m arked with “HDX”.
Drive in the spe cial bolts until they come loose again according to the principle explained above.

b) Place 4 spacers (reference 2, image 2 -2) on the holes marked with “RLM”. Insert 4 special bolts with lock washer from the
underside of the plate. H and-tighten the 4 special bolts and release them back for 1 turn.

2. Position the interface plate on top of the HD X projector. Make sure the 4 special bolts (reference 3, image 2-3) on the interface
plate match the b uilt-
in nuts (reference 4, image 2-3) on the HDX projector. Tighten the 4 special bolts.

3. Place the m ultifunctional frame (reference 5 , image 2-4) on t
op of the HDX projector w ith interface plate. Drive the s pacers
(reference 2, image 2-4) in the multifunctional frame by turning them anticlockwise with a 17mm open-end wre nch. Tighten the
4 special bolts (reference 6, image 2-4) to secure the spacers.

1. Install the HDX projector on the bo ttom carry handle (image 2-6). Fo r detailed information, consult the installation manual of the
HDX projector.

3. Turn the stack upside down and suspend the HDX bottom carry h andle from a truss. Both projectors will be suspended upside
down.
CAUTION: The multifunctional f rame from the RLM projector is not designed to carry a HDX projector. Do not
suspend the conguration from the multifunction frame. Doing so can cause serious injury or death.

How to setup?
1. Prepare the interface plate:
a) Place 3 spacers with washer (reference 2, image 3-1) on the interface plate on the holes marked with “FLM”. Hand-tighten
the 3 bolts with lock washers (reference 1, image 3-1) and release them back for 1 turn.

2. Position the interface plate on top of the FLM projector. Make sure the 3 spacers (reference 4, image 3-3) on the interface plate
match the built-in nuts (reference 5, im age 3-3) on the FLM projector. Tigh ten the 3 spacers.
Secure the interface plate on the FLM projector by tightening the 3 bolts with lock washer.
