MicroNet SP342B / SP343B allows transmitting multiple streams of information along a single fiber up to 20 kilometers with minimal interference. It’s suitable for any data communication application where single-mode fiber is in short supply or expensive to provision.

Features:

  • Compliant with IEEE802.3 10Base-T, and IEEE802.3u 100Base-TX/FX standards
  • Transmitting multiple optical signals on different wavelengths over a single fiber
  • Support auto-negotiation function in TP port to detect speed (10/100M) and duplex mode (full/half) automatically
  • Support auto uplink (auto MDI/MDI-X) in TP port, no more cross-over cable

Installation
This device is plug-and-play. Please follow the steps to install the media
converter.
1. SP342B (T1550/R1310) and SP343B (T1310/R1550) must be installed in
pair.
2. Connect the supplied AC to DC power adapter to the receptacle at the back
of the converter.
3. Attach the plug into a standard AC outlet.
4. Connect TX port and FX port with right cable to make link.
For cable selection, refer to the following table:
Speed Cable Type Max. Length

simply repeating the signals from 10/100Base-TX to suitable format for
transmission over fiber cables. It supports auto negotiation on TP port to sense
the speed and the duplex mode.
The media converter supports auto uplink (auto MDI/MDI-X) on TP port and
LFPT (Link-Fault-Pass-Through). Users can just connect the TP side with
either straight-through or cross-over cable. With LFPT enabled, it will inform
the other end by turning OFF the remote end's link LEDs when cable in one
end is OUT. It is enabled by default.
