Warnings and Precautions
1. Read all of these warnings and save them for later reference.

3. Unplug this unit from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid or aerosol
cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning.
4. Do not use this unit in or near water.
5. Do not place this unit on an unstable cart, stand, or table. The unit may fall, causing
serious damage.
6. Slots and openings on the cabinet top, back, and bottom are provided for ventilation. To
ensure safe and reliable operation of this unit, and to protect it from overheating, do not
block or cover these openings. Do not place this unit on a bed, sofa, rug, or similar
surface, as the ventilation openings on the bottom of the cabinet will be blocked. This
unit should never be placed near or over a heat register or radiator. This unit should not
be placed in a built-in installation unless proper ventilation is provided.
7. This product should only be operated from the type of power source indicated on the
marking label of the AC adapter. If you are not sure of the type of power available,
consult your Datavideo dealer or your local power company.
8. Do not allow anything to rest on the power cord. Do not locate this unit where the
power cord will be walked on, rolled over, or otherwise stressed.
9. If an extension cord must be used with this unit, make sure that the total of the ampere
ratings on the products plugged into the extension cord do not exceed the extension
cord rating.
10. Make sure that the total amperes of all the units that are plugged into a single wall
outlet do not exceed 15 amperes.
11. Never push objects of any kind into this unit through the cabinet ventilation slots, as
they may touch dangerous voltage points or short out parts that could result in risk of
fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind onto or into this unit.
12. Except as specifically explained elsewhere in this manual, do not attempt to service this
product yourself. Opening or removing covers that are marked “Do Not Remove” may
expose you to dangerous voltage points or other risks, and will void your warranty. Refer
all service issues to qualified service personnel.
13. Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer to qualified service personnel under
the following conditions:
a. When the power cord is damaged or frayed;

d. When the product does not operate normally under normal operating conditions.
Adjust only those controls that are covered by the operating instructions in this

normal operation;

f. When the product exhibits a distinct change in performance, indicating a need for
service.
Warranty
Standard Warranty
Datavideo equipment are guaranteed against any manufacturing defects for one year
from the date of purchase.
The original purchase invoice or other documentary evidence should be supplied at the
time of any request for repair under warranty.
The product warranty period begins on the purchase date. If the purchase date is
unknown, the product warranty period begins on the thirtieth day after shipment from a
Datavideo office.
All non-Datavideo manufactured products (product without Datavideo logo) have only
one year warranty from the date of purchase.
Damage caused by accident, misuse, unauthorized repairs, sand, grit or water is not
covered under warranty.
Viruses and malware infections on the computer systems are not covered under
warranty.
Any errors that are caused by unauthorized third-party software installations, which are
not required by our computer systems, are not covered under warranty.
All mail or transportation costs including insurance are at the expense of the owner.
All other claims of any nature are not covered.
All accessories including headphones, cables, and batteries are not covered under
warranty.
Warranty only valid in the country or region of purchase.
Your statutory rights are not affected.
Three Year Warranty
All Datavideo products purchased after July 1st, 2017 are qualified for
a free two years extension to the standard warranty, providing the
product is registered with Datavideo within 30 days of purchase.

Certain parts with limited lifetime expectancy such as LCD panels, DVD drives, Hard
Drive, Solid State Drive, SD Card, USB Thumb Drive, Lighting, Camera module, PCIe Card
are covered for 1 year.
The three-year warranty must be registered on Datavideo's official website or with your
local Datavideo office or one of its authorized distributors within 30 days of purchase.
Disposal
For EU Customers only - WEEE Marking
This symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product
must not be disposed of with your other household waste. Instead, it is
your responsibility to dispose of your waste equipment by handing it over
to a designated collection point for the recycling of waste electrical and
electronic equipment. The separate collection and recycling of your waste
equipment at the time of disposal will help to conserve natural resources and ensure that it
is recycled in a manner that protects human health and the environment. For more
information about where you can drop off your waste equipment for recycling, please
contact your local city office, your household waste disposal service or the shop where you
purchased the product.
CE Marking is the symbol as shown on the left of this page. The letters "CE"
are the abbreviation of French phrase "Conformité Européene" which
literally means "European Conformity". The term initially used was "EC
Mark" and it was officially replaced by "CE Marking" in the Directive
93/68/EEC in 1993. "CE Marking" is now used in all EU official documents.

1. Product Overview
This CCU-200 kit is designed to easily connect several Datavideo products into an effective
and professional studio system. This guide assumes you may already own some or all of the
other Datavideo products mentioned in this document. Where an asterix symbol (*) is
shown next to a model number, this product is not supplied within the CCU-200 kit and an
additional purchase may be required. Please speak with your dealer to discuss your desired
set up using the Datavideo equipment you may already have. For more information on any
of the products marked with an asterix (*) please visit our website www.datavideo.com.
The built-in HDBaseT Technology allows you to send and receive Full HD 1080p video to and
from multiple cameras over CAT6 cables for up to 100 meters. The HDBaseT Technology is
also able to power the camera from afar, saving you the hassle of looking for an external
power supply during long distance video transmission.
With a CB cable, the CCU-200 system simultaneously handles digital SDI and analogue
signals for camera video output, Program look back video, camera view finder data as well
as tally and intercom signals between the cameras and a video switcher.
The Datavideo AD-3, Multi Transmission Adaptor Box, establishes connection between the
CCU-200 Camera Control Unit and a single camera position.

2. Datavideo’s Four Camera Control System
Communication between AD-3 and CCU-200 is bidirectional. The signals in each direction
are listed below:

3. Connections and Controls
Front Panel
Power Switch
Power ON/OFF the CCU-200 main unit.
Note: Make sure all cables are properly
connected before turning ON the power.
CB (all in one) Cable Connection

LED Indicators
The top row consists of power indicators for CB
connections. Turning ON the device power turns
ON the green LEDs.
Note: When the power is shorted or
overloaded, the green LEDs will go out and the
device must be rebooted.
The bottom row consists of HDBaseT connection
indicators. First connect the CB cables and AD-3,
then turning ON the power of CCU-200 and AD-3
turns ON the yellow LEDs.

Power Supply
The CCU-200 accepts two power types, which
are AC IN and DC 48V IN. The AC IN is the main
power supply and the DC IN is the backup
power. When both sockets are connected of the
respective power sources, the AC IN will be the
primary source. The DC IN will start supplying
power only if the AC IN is disconnected.
Note: Connect the DC 48 IN to VMC-1*
(separate purchase).
RS-232/422 Port
The CCU-200 also allows you to connect and
control non-Datavideo cameras via RS-232/422
ports. See Chapter 6 for cable pinouts.
DIP Switch
Note: If you are using RS-232/RS-422 to control
the cameras, the corresponding AD-3s must
also be connected via RS-232/RS-422. See the
AD-3 Side Panel for details.

HD/SD-SDI Camera Video OUT
The CCU-200 provides four HD/SD-SDI camera video
output channels. These outputs are generally
connected to the switcher inputs.
Look Back SDI IN
This receives the SDI video (PGM) sent from the
Switcher and relays the received video to the camera
operators.
Control Port
Connect external devices to these Ethernet ports.
Examples of the external devices are ITC-300 Digital
Intercom System* and MCU-400 Multi Camera
Control Unit*. The Control ports transmit audio and
control signals.
Note: If your external devices are non Datavideo and
do not have Ethernet ports, try to connect via RS-232
or RS-422 interface. See CCU-200 Front Panel and
AD-3 Side Panel for details.
Mini USB Port
For firmware upgrade.
Note: Please connect a laptop to upgrade the
firmware.
Ground
When connecting this unit to any other component,
make sure that it is properly grounded by connecting
this terminal to an appropriate point. When
connecting, use the socket and be sure to use wire
with a cross-sectional area of at least 1.0 mm
2
.

4. Connecting AD-3 and Operations
AD-3 is a Multi-Transmission Adaptor Box which is attached to the rear of the camera by a
standard V-Mount plate as shown in the diagram below. It can also be used like a V-Mount
Battery to power the camera. If the standard V-Mount plate is not found on the rear of the
camera, the user can purchase a SLED (SLD-1) off the shelf from Datavideo.

Dual Color Tally LED
Red: The channel is live.
Green: The channel is cued.
Look Back Button
Press to switch between Main and AUX views on TLM-700K
Look Back Monitor.
MAIN: Camera video
AUX: Look back video
Note: It is normal that you will see about 0.5 seconds of
video flicker or color distortion when using this button to
switch between Main and AUX. Audio noise can
sometimes be heard too.

Call Button
The Call Button allows the camera operator to page the
operator at the ITC-300 Digital Intercom System with call
tone via the CCU-200 HDBaseT Camera Control Unit.
TALK Button
Simply press to TALK. The TALK Button allows the camera
operator to speak to the operator at the ITC-300 Digital
Intercom System via the CCU-200 HDBaseT Camera Control
Unit.
Follow the steps outlined below to operate Call and Talk buttons:
1. Press the Call button and the AD-3’s corresponding channel button on the ITC-300
should start flashing red.
2. To talk, the ITC-300 operator should press the flashing channel button and when
the channel button turns solid green, the two-way communication has then been
established.
3. Press the TALK button to speak to the ITC-300 operator via the connected
microphone headset.

Power Switch

Camera HDMI IN
This port allows you to connect and receive video from a camera
via the HDMI interface. The camera video is then relayed to the
CCU-200 HDBaseT Camera Control Unit via a CB cable.
3.5mm Headphone or Headset Jack
The camera operator may connect a
headphone or headset to this 3.5 mm jack
which establishes bidirectional audio signal
transmission between AD-3 and the connected
headphone or headset. The headset may be
connected to this 3.5 mm jack via a music/TRS
¼” adapter in the CCU-200 product package.
Press the Talk button on the front panel to
speak to ITC-300 Main Unit operator.
Volume Control Knob
This knob allows the user to adjust the audio volume for the
connected headset. Rotate clockwise to increase the volume and
anti-clockwise to lower the volume.

Link Indicator
Yellow: Connection with the ITC-300 Main Unit has been
established.
OFF: ITC-300 Main Unit disconnected
Mini USB Port
This USB port is reserved specifically for Firmware Upgrade.
Note: Please connect a laptop for firmware upgrade.
3.5mm RMC-240 Jack
This connects to the RMC-240 remote control. The RMC-240
control allows the user to activate communication between the
connected headset and the Intercom System as well as enable
Look Back monitor mode.
Cable pinouts are depicted below:
Ext. Tally OUT
Delivers AD-3’s tally signal to TD-3* LED Tally Light.
Camera / Look Back Video HDMI OUT
This port sends Camera / Look Back Video to the TLM-700K Look
Back Monitor.
RES Button
The RES button allows you to change the HDMI OUT video
resolution.
When the input video resolution is 25 or 50 fps, the output
resolution can be set to one of the following:
1920x1080p25/50
3840x2160p25
When the input video resolution is 30 or 60 fps, the output
resolution can be set to one of the following:
1920x1080p30/60
3840x2160p30

PIP Button
Main and AUX videos are shown on the TLM-700K. Press the PIP
button to switch between different display modes, which are:

cameras via RS-232/422 ports. If you plan to use RS-232/RS-422
