2. A new window will appear. Here you must select one of the three
formats “Format FAT”, “Format FAT32”, or “Format NTFS” by
clicking on its associated radio button. Once the format selection has
been made, press OK.
3. If a Full format is desired, check the box labeled Full Format to the
right of the drop down menu.
4. Because a data copy is involved in this job function, you may also
select the “Verify Data” check box.
5. Next, you may add any les or folders for copying, by clicking the
“Add File” or “Add Folder” buttons.
6. Next, click on the Destination tab.
7. Select the drives that you wish to format.
8. You can specify a volume label which will be applied to all drives in
the text box under “Enter Label” which is found in the Destination tab.
I. Note: FAT and FAT32 le systems have restrictions on volume
labels which allow for up to 11 characters, not including the following
special characters * ? . , ; : / \ | + = < > [ ]
II. NTFS le systems allow up to 32 characters for a volume label and
allow special characters
9. Click on the Destination tab, select which drives you would like to
operate on from the drive list.
