In the interest of Meter security whilst in transit, the new Meter will need to be
activated.
A registration PIN code is required to carry out this process. The PIN code can only be
obtained from the Neopost website at:
www.neopost.co.uk/pin-activation
Before visiting the website you will require the following information to obtain the
registration code:
Installation Account (found on your welcome letter)
Installation Postcode
Licence Number (Meter Die No. NExxxxxxx as shown below)
Go to the Neopost customer support website at:
www.neopost.co.uk/pin-activation
At the top centre of the page click on: IS-Pin Generator
Enter the information in the relevant fields
and press; Get Pin
A registration PIN code will be displayed. Please
make a note of this code in the box below to use
during the swap process.
Please read the following information carefully to complete the
installation of your new Meter.
Remove the Meter from the white box.
Write down the Meter Die Number as
shown in the diagram to the left in the
box below.

With the power disconnected, open the top cover as shown and then remove the old
Meter by sliding it back, up and out (see red arrow). On some models the Meter has a
second cover. If a weight platform is fitted (IS-420 0r IS-430) remove and place to the
side.
Place the meter to be returned in the box that the
New Meter was supplied in.
Fit the New Meter. Slot the Meter in and forward
as shown in the diagram (see green arrow).
Then close the cover(s). Some Models have two
Slots, either can be used.
Check that the correct data cables are connected
(LAN).
Reconnect the power supply cable to the side of the
machine and power on.
After a few seconds the machine will power up and
may display the screen shown to the right. This screen
is an information screen. Press “OK” to continue the
Meter swap process.
Important Note:
Before disconnecting or continuing the process please carry out an “UPLOAD STATISTICS”
and a “SAVE CUSTOMER DATA” connection.
Press “MENU”, then select “SUPERVISOR”. Enter your Supervisor PIN Code and press
“OK”. Select “ONLINE SERVICES” then select “UPLOAD STATISTICS”. A connection will be
made. After the successful connection press “OK”. If you do not have your PIN Code,
please contact us on 0845 880 0000.
In the same menu screen select “SAVE CUSTOMER DATA”. A connection will be made.
After the successful connection press “OK”.
If the connections are not successful on the first attempt, repeat the process until both
connections have been carried out. Then power off and disconnect the power supply
cable.

Continue by pressing “OK”.
Enter the registration PIN code (noted on page 2)
in the box on the screen. Enter the numbers slowly
to avoid incorrect characters. Then press “OK”.
To continue press “OK”.
When the screen displays “Transaction successful”
press OK” to continue.

The postal installation section is complete.
Press “OK” to continue the process.

At this stage do not add money to the new
meter by pressing “NO”
Credit can be added at the end of the process.
On some models (IS-420 & IS-430) this
message may be displayed. If you have PPI
images they can be loaded at this point. To load
PPI press “OK” and follow the screens. If not
press “Skip” to carry on with the swap process.
If this message is not displayed move on to the
next screen.

Next
Press “OK” to complete the last section of the
swap process.
The swap Meter process is now finished.
Press “OK” to finish and return to the
“Homepage”.
On some models this message may be
displayed after a successful connection, advising
that a new rate table has been activated. Press
“OK” to continue. If this message is not
displayed move on to the next step.
Press “OK” to continue the swap process.

Your machine will now show the “Homepage”.
The swap process is now complete for your
New Meter.
If the Homepage” is not displayed, please power the franking machine off then back
on to restart the system.
If the “Homepage” is not showing after powering off then back on please contact us
on 0845 880 0000 for further assistance.
NOTE: To use your new Mailmark Meter you will need to add credit before
processing mail.
NOTE: Due to the new rate file loaded during the process JOB MEMORIES will
be deleted and need to be entered again by the SUPERVISOR.
Please return your old meter in the box which your new meter was supplied
in, to allow any refund of remaining credit to be processed Royal Mail.
