BGM INPUT WITH SELECTOR
MLT4 MODULE
FUNCTION
ALLOWS THE CONNECTION OF FOUR DIFFERENT AUDIO SOURCES AND THE
SELECTION OF ONE FOR USE AS BACKGROUND MUSIC.
DESCRIPTION
The module allows the connection of up to four music sources (Tuner, CD, Tape...) with
-10dB nominal output level. A switch on the front panel selects which of the four sources
should be passed to a previously chosen BGM bus (chosen with an internal jumper setting).
The system admits up to 4 modules for BGM input assignable to 4 different musical
programmes. There can be only one MLT4 or MLT1 module assigned to a certain musical
programme.
It features tone control and a volume control associated to a bi-colored LED indicator
which facilitates an optimal level adjustment (It should light green, not red).
The module features stereo inputs through RCA connectors. Input nr.4 also includes a
balanced monophonic input through a ¼” Jack connector.

CONNECTING THE MLT4
To carry out the connection of this module you should follow the steps indicated in the figure on next page:
 Define the musical program number assigned to this input with the jumpers marked with nr.1. Place one jumper in the BGM
number you wish. For Example: If you want this module to have BGM number 3, you should place a jumper in J104.
ATTENTION: There can be only one MLT 1 or MLT4 module assigned to one certain musical programme number.
 Insert and screw the module and the chassis together in the front and back panels.
 Connect the data buses (Flat 10- and 20-way cables) to the connectors marked with nr.2 in the figure on next page.
 Link together the front and back panel. In this case you will have to connect following connector pair marked with nr.3:
J101-WI101.
 Once the complete installation of one or various chassis and the peripherals connections to ENVIRO has been carried out,
you should adjust the volume of this module so that the
SIGNAL LEVEL
LED lights up green while talking normally. Finally,
you may wish to adjust the tone controls.
