for the installation of bin top adapter, KBT34
The KBT34 adapter is designed to allow the placement of a CME686 or CME810 or an
EH222 onto a Scotsman B948 ice storage bin. The adapter is made up of three parts,
a 30” wide plastic section and two stainless steel filler plates. Hand tools will be
required to install this adapter.
The KBT34 contains:
•
One 30” x 24” plastic ice machine support
•
Two stainless steel filler plates with attached insulation.
•
Two mounting brackets
•
Six 5/16 - 18 cap screws
•
Two 8-32 machine screws
• Four #10 flat washers
• Six 5/16 flat washers
• One tube of RTV sealant
1. Place the large plastic ice machine support in the center of the bin’s top area.
2. Place one stainless steel filler plate on each side of the plastic ice machine support.
The open end goes over the canopy.
3. Secure the stainless steel filler plates to the bin with one bolt in each.
4. Locate the ice machine attachment brackets. Use them
to secure the plastic ice machine support to the bin using
the bolts and washers from the kit.
5. Seal the junction point of the stainless steel filler plates
and the plastic ice machine support with a bead of food
grade sealant from the tube in the kit.
6. Complete the ice machine installation. Use brackets
from step 4 to attach ice machine to bin.
