KBT22B Instructions

Installing any 30” wide x 24 deep modular unit on

a 48” wide Scotsman Bin including the B948

The purpose of this kits is to be able to install a 30” ice maker on a 48” wide bin.

Kit content: left and right ller plates and one tube of silicone sealant

1. Ensure that the environment and utilities will meet the specications listed in the ice machine

installation manual.

2. Place the machine on the bin. The machine needs to centered evenly from left to right.

3. Using the supplied silicone sealant apply a bead of silicone to the visible bin gasket. The bin gasket

is the gray foam tape around the perimeter of the bin.

4. Place the left ller plate to the left of the machine the three rivets should be facing to the ice machine.

5. Place the right ller plate to the right of the machine the three rivets should be facing to the ice

machine.

Note: The ller plates should not be underneath the ice machine. They should be sitting next to it.

6. Place a bead of silicone sealant along the top edge of each ller plate next to the ice machine. The

silicone sealant is to ll the void between the ice machine and the ller plate. This void should

be less than 1/4 of an inch. If it is greater than that than to readjust the ller plates and/or the

positioning of the ice machine.

7. Wipe off any excess of silicone sealant.

8. Proceed with the remainder of the installation per the installation instructions supplied with ice maker.
