1. Adjust chair to maximum seat
height.
2. Turn chair upside down and
set on stand or table.
3. Slide plastic telescopic cover
all the way down the column.
4. Remove the base assembly
from chair control by using the
disassembly tool for taper fit joint,
or twisting and pulling using a
pipe wrench. For removal with tool
see Assembly Direction

5. Remove upright and back assembly
by removing (4) upright screws (a). Then
tapping upright out of chair (b).
6. Remove synchro pivot pins on both
sides of chair control by (a) first
removing retaining clips on inside ends
of pins, (b) then use pliers to pull the
pins out.
7. Install new power pack, reinstall the
synchro pivot pins on both sides of chair
control using small hammer and/or
mallet. Use retaining clip holder to
install retaining clips on inside ends of
synchro pivot pins (7a).
8. Install the upright and back
assembly by tapping bracket into the
upright receptacle until holes are
aligned. Install the upright screws.
9. Replace the base assembly by
inserting the hub of the tapered
standpipe of height adjust column into
the chair control, then tap firmly with
mallet.
10. Turn chair right side up and finish
seating tapered joints by sitting in chair.
