1. Introduction

This document will guide the installer through integrating an August Lock with an existing Savant System. This document assumes that:

– The Savant Host and August Connect are both connected to the same local network.

– Basic conﬁguration and deployment of the Savant system has been completed, and the Host is online and operational.

– The August Connect and Smart Lock have been set up via the August app.

– The August Connect and Smart Lock are powered on.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Only one Smart Lock per August Controller is Supported.

Before Beginning

Read this document in its entirety, and ensure that the following required items are available:

2. RacePoint Blueprint Conﬁguration

Follow the steps outlined in the subsections below to conﬁgure the August Lock within RacePoint Blueprint.

2.1. Add Smart Lock Proﬁle

From an open Blueprint conﬁguration, do the following:

1. Click the Show Library icon

from the main Blueprint toolbar to open the Proﬁle Library.

2. Search for August Lock.

3. Drag the matching Proﬁle into the Layout frame.

4. Enter a unique Component Name, and choose a Room/Zone to place the August Lock in.

5. Make an Ethernet connection between the August Lock controller and network switch.

2.2. Enter IP Address

1. Highlight the proﬁle and Inspect it (Command + I)

2. Under the Show dropdown menu, choose Control Ports.

3. Double-Click the Host Address ﬁeld and enter IP address of the August Connect.

NOTE: IP address can be found using any network scanning utility.

2.3. Generate Services

Once the August Lock Proﬁle has been placed within the Blueprint layout, with a control connection made and

IP address entered, services must be generated before accessing the Door Lock Data Table.

1. Select Generate Services from the main Blueprint toolbar.

2. In the Services window that opens, select the zone where the August Lock was placed in section 2.1 above

from the Services For: dropdown.

3. Conﬁrm that a valid Door Lock service has been generated as shown in the example below:

2.4. Conﬁgure Door Lock Data Table

With a valid Door Lock Service generated in at least one zone, the Door Lock Data Table will become accessible.

1. Navigate to Tools > Settings > Door Lock... from the main Blueprint menu to open the data table.

2. Add a door lock entity to the door lock data table using the + icon. Conﬁgure the entry as follows:

Enabled Checked by default, deﬁnes whether the entry will generate a control element within the Savant UI..

Controller Select the August Connect from the drop down menu.

Location Determines the zone where control elements will be displayed within the Savant UI.

Entity Select Lock from the drop down menu.

Door Lock Address [1] Set to 1.

Door Lock Address [2] Leave blank.

Label The label that the lock will appear as in the Savant App.

Status State The state that the Savant System will check to see if the lock is Unlocked or Locked. Populates automatically.

Error State Leave blank.

Camera Mapping The camera that will be associated with the Door Lock in the Savant App.

3. Select Done to save the data table and return to the main Blueprint layout view.

4. Generate Services and upload the conﬁguration to the Host.

1. Connect to the Host via the Savant Pro App.

2. Navigate to Settings > Devices > August

3. Tap the icon at the upper right to add a new device.

4. When prompted, enter the August account credentials as

conﬁgured during initial setup.

5. Tap Sign In.

3. Savant Pro App Conﬁguration

With the completed Blueprint conﬁguration uploaded to the Savant Host, the August Connect must be linked to the Savant System using the Savant Pro

App.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

– Device setup must be completed using the Savant Pro App running on an iOS device.

– A valid Savant Cloud Services (SCS) user account with access permissions for the Host is required.

6. Enter the veriﬁcation code sent to the email or phone number

entered during August account creation.

7. Tap Verify.

8. Tap Agree to allow Savant access to the August Lock Controller.

9. The August Lock Controller will now populate as an unlinked

device within the Pro App. Tap Unlinked.

10. Select Link from the options list.

11. Tap to check the checkbox next to the lock to be linked.

12. Tap Next to conﬁrm.

13. Tap Done. The August Lock will now be linked to the Savant Pro

App.

Appendix A: Unlinking an August Lock

Follow the steps below to unlink a lock from the Savant system.

3. When prompted, conﬁrm the revocation of access for the August

account by selecting Unlink.

1. Within the Savant Pro App, navigate to Settings > Devices > August

2. Tap the icon to remove the linked account.
