Instrument Rear View
1.
Flush analyzer ports A and B.
a. Turn the instrument power switch to the ON position. The
Display will light.
b. Verify that the drain hose is securely in the drain.
Note: The water used to flush ports A and B goes directly
out the instrument’s drain.
c. Press the arrow keys on the Keypad until you see “Select
Flush” on the Display.
d. Attach the Amylase Dispenser to port B on the right side
of the instrument.
e. Press ENTER on the Keypad. This will open the port A,
port B, and drain valves, and run the agitator motor.
f. Fill the dispenser with hot water.
g. Attach the Amylase Dispenser to port A on the left side of
the instrument.
h. Fill the dispenser with hot water.
Note: When ENTER is pressed on the Keypad, the
agitator motor will run for 2 minutes and then turn off. If
you complete the flush before 2 minutes, you can press
ENTER a second time to turn off the agitator.

Disassemble the valve.
a. Turn the instrument power switch to the OFF position and
disconnect the power cord from the power source.
b. Remove the two screws from the bottom of the port A
valve.
c. Slide the Coil off of the valve.
d. Remove the valve stem from the valve being careful not to
lose the spring in the stem.

Clean the Teflon seal on the bottom of the valve stem and the
interior of the valve body with hot soapy water.
4.
Re-assemble the valve.
a. Slide the valve stem back into the valve body (be sure the
spring is in the valve stem).
b. Slide the Coil back over the valve stem.
c. Insert the two screws back in the bottom of the valve and
tighten.
5.
Repeat steps 2-4 for the port B valve.
6.
Reconnect the power cord to the power source.
