Read all the instructions carefully before
using the unit and keep them for future
reference.
Retain the manual. If you pass the unit
onto a third party make sure to include this
manual.
Check that the voltage marked on the
rating label matches your mains voltage.
Damage
Please inspect the unit for damage after
unpacking.
Do not continue to operate the unit if you
are in any doubt about it working normally,
or if it is damaged in any way - switch o,
withdraw the mains adapter and consult
your dealer.
Location of Unit
The unit must be placed on a at stable
surface and not subjected to vibrations.
Do not place the unit on sloped or unstable
surfaces as the unit may fall o or tip over.
The mains socket must be located near the
unit and should be easily accessible.
Temperature
Avoid extreme degrees of temperature,
either hot or cold. Place the unit well away
from heat sources such as radiators or gas /
electric res.
Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and other
sources of heat.
Naked Flames
Never place any type of candle or naked
ame on the top of or near the unit.
Moisture
To reduce the risk of re, electric shock or
product damage, do not expose this unit
to rain, moisture, dripping or splashing. No
objects lled with liquids, such as vases,
should be placed on the unit.
If you spill any liquid into the unit, it can
cause serious damage. Switch it o at the
mains immediately. Withdraw the mains
plug and consult your dealer.
Ventilation
To prevent the risk of electric shock or
re hazard due to overheating, ensure
that curtains and other materials do not
obstruct the ventilation vents.
Safety Warnings
A minimum distance of 5cm around the
unit should be maintained to allow for
sucient ventilation.
Do not install or place this unit in a
bookcase, built-in cabinet or in another
conned space. Ensure the unit is well
ventilated.
Safety
Always disconnect the unit from the mains
supply before connecting / disconnecting
other devices or moving the unit.
Unplug the unit from the mains socket
during a lightning storm.
In the interests of safety and to avoid
unnecessary energy consumption,
never leave the unit switched on while
unattended for long periods of time, e.g.
overnight, while on holiday or while out of
the house. Switch it o and disconnect the
mains plug from the mains socket.
Mains Adapter Cable
Make sure the unit or unit stand is not
resting on top of the mains adapter cable,
as the weight of the unit may damage the
cable and create a safety hazard.
Mains Adapter
The mains adapter will continue to draw
electricity from the mains supply when
plugged in the mains socket. In the
interests of safety and to avoid unnecessary
energy consumption, never leave the
adaptor plugged in the mains socket
while unattended for long periods of time.
Disconnect the adapter from the power
supply.
Interference
Do not place the unit on or near appliances
which may cause electromagnetic
interference. If you do, it may adversely
aect the working of the unit, and cause a
distorted sound.
Earphones
Listening to loud sounds for
prolonged periods of time may
permanently damage your hearing.
Before putting on earphones, turn the
volume down then put the earphones on
and slowly increase the volume until you
reach a comfortable listening level.

Batteries
Batteries used in the unit are easily
swallowed by young children and this is
dangerous.
Keep loose batteries away from young
children and make sure that the battery
holder tray is secure in the unit. Seek
medical advice if you believe
a cell has been swallowed.
Please dispose of batteries correctly by
following the guidance in this manual.
Do not expose the battery to direct sunlight
or sources of excessive heat.
Supervision
Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the unit.
Never let anyone especially children push
anything into the holes, slots or any other
openings in the case - this could result in a
fatal electric shock.

laser. Use of controls,
adjustments or
performance of
procedures other than those specied
herein may result in hazardous radiation
exposure.
Before moving the unit, ensure the disc tray
is empty.
Always remove the disc when the unit is
not in use.
Failure to do so will risk severely damaging
the disc and the unit.
Do not stack devices; heat from other
devices may aect the performance of the
unit.

Service
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not
remove screws. The unit does not contain
any user-serviceable parts. Please leave all
maintenance work to qualied personnel.
Do not open any xed covers as this may

Maintenance
Ensure to unplug the unit from the power
supply before cleaning.
Do not use any type of abrasive pad or
abrasive cleaning solutions as these may
damage the unit’s surface.
Do not use liquids to clean the unit.

Battery Replacement for the Remote Control
The remote control requires a CR2025, 3V Lithium battery.
1. Slide and hold the battery release tab in the
direction of the arrow.
2. Pull out the battery holder and remove the old
battery.
3. Replace with a new battery.
4. Insert the battery holder back into the remote
control.
Handling the Battery
Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery leakage, which
could cause re, personal injury or damage to property.
Install the battery correctly by following the polarity (+ and –) indications in the battery
compartment.
When the battery is exhausted, the remote control will not function.
Only use the battery type indicated in this manual.
Removing the Insulating Strip from the
Remote Control
Remove the insulating mylar strip from the battery
if the battery is being used for the rst time. It is
located at the bottom back side of the remote
control.

Remote Control Operation Range
Point the remote control at the DVD Player no more than 2
metres from the remote control sensor and within 40° of the
front of the DVD Player. The operating distance may vary
depending on the brightness of the room.
Do not dispose of the used battery as domestic waste. Dispose of it in accordance with
the local regulations.
Small button cell batteries such as the one used in the remote control are easily
swallowed by young children and this is dangerous. Keep loose button cells away from
young children and make sure that the battery holder tray is secure in the remote
control. Seek medical advice if you believe a cell has been swallowed.
Handling the Remote Control
Take care of your ngernails when you press and hold the battery release tab.
Do not drop or cause impact on the remote control.
Do not spill water or any liquid on the remote control.
Do not place the remote control on a wet object.
Do not place the remote control under direct sunlight or near sources of excessive heat.
Remove the battery from the remote control when not in use for a long period of time,
as it could cause corrosion or battery leakage and may result in physical injury and/or
property damage including re.

Using in a Car
Using the Car Power Adapter (for in-car use)
The included 12V car power adapter is designed for use with vehicles that have a 12V
negative ground electrical system.

Disconnect the car power adapter when not in use. Not for use in 24V vehicles.
Use the provided 12V car power adapter only. Using other car power adapters could damage the
unit.
In the interest of trac safety, do not operate this unit or view videos while driving a vehicle.
Make sure the unit is securely fastened to prevent it from falling or ying through the air in the
event of an accident.
When the inside of the cigarette lighter socket is dirty with ash or dust, the plug section may
become hot due to poor contact. Be sure to clean the cigarette lighter socket before use.
After use, disconnect the 12V car power adapter from both the unit and the cigarette lighter
socket.
Using the DVD Player Only

1. Align the angled supports bolt to the screw
hole on the back of the DVD unit. Turn the bolt
clockwise and secure the support.
Mounting the DVD in a Car
Use the supplied mounting kit to install the DVD players on the back of the vehicle’s
headrests.
2. For car headrests which can be removed, use the following method:
Lift the headrest o its leg supports. Align the horizontal support with the headrest
leg slots and ensure the horizontal support rests securely on the top of the car seat.

3. For car headrests which cannot be removed, use the following method to secure the
car mount:
Unscrew the bolts holding the horizontal mounting bar together. Slip both halves of
the mounting bar around the headrests’ leg supports. Screw in the bolts, loosely. Ensure
that the mounting bar is level. Tighten the bolts.
If the set of 4 x screws (ø4 x 20mm) is not long enough to secure the horizontal
support bar to the leg supports, please use the longer set of screws (ø4 x 25mm).

This unit should never be used by the vehicles driver or left unsecured in the vehicle while
driving.
If this unit is being used in your vehicle, be sure that it is securely xed to the headrests leg
supports or held safely, and does not obstruct any safety device, including air bags or seat belts,
or it may cause injury in case of accidents. Ensure all rear passengers are correctly restrained
when this product is in use in the car.
All passengers should always wear seat belts when using this unit in a moving vehicle.
If in doubt, please contact your vehicle manufacturer for further advice.
6. To remove the DVD from the horizontal support
bar, support the DVD unit with one hand. Firmly
squeeze and pull the release buttons on either
side of the angled support with the other hand.
4. Grip the DVD rmly with both hands and slot
the angled support rmly into the support bar.
It will click. Ensure the entire unit is secure.
5. Adjust the angle of the DVD unit, then secure by
tightening the bolt on the right.

Using Indoor
Using the Mains Adapter (for indoor use)
The mains adapter (DC9V, 1.5A output) supplied is for using the DVD player and the
monitor together.
For using the DVD Player and the Monitor separately, one more adapter is needed and sold
separately. Please contact Partmaster for ordering the adapter.

One mains adapter is provided for operating the DVD player and the monitor together. If
you need to use them separately. Please use a proper mains adapter with correct electrical
rating (Input: 100-240V~ 50/60Hz 0.4A; Output: 9V DC 1.5A ) and output plug size (Outer
diameter: 4.0mm; Inner diameter: 1.7mm).
Turn o the unit before unplugging the mains adapter from the unit to avoid damaging the unit.
When the unit is not going to be used for a long period of time, disconnect the mains adapter
from the mains socket.
The mains socket must be located near the unit and should be easily accessible. If a malfunction
occurs, disconnect the plug from the mains socket at once.
When the mains adapter is plugged in, the unit is not completely disconnected from the main
power source even when the unit is turned o.

Make sure to use the correct Audio/Video cable. Connecting the plugs incorrectly may cause a
weak signal.
If your TV does not have Audio/Video inputs, you will need to purchase an RF modulator (sold
separately) and follow the instructions included with it to connect the unit to your TV.
Connections
Watching a DVD on the DVD Player and the Monitor
You can watch the same DVD on the DVD player and the monitor.
1. Connect the DVD player and the monitor by using the included DC+AV Cable.
2. Turn on the DVD player and the monitor.
3. If you play a DVD on the DVD player, the monitor will play the same DVD at the same
time.
Connecting a TV (for the DVD Player Only)
If your TV has Audio/Video inputs, you can connect the DVD player to your TV by using a
standard AV cable (not included).
Watching a DVD on your TV
1. Connect your TV to the DVD player by using the included 3.5mm to RCA AV Converter
and a standard AV Cable (not included).
2. Turn on the DVD player.
3. Turn on the TV and follow the instructions included with it to play the DVD.

Listening with an External Audio Device
1. Connect the DVD player to the left/right Audio In sockets on the audio device by using
the included 3.5mm to RCA AV Converter and a standard RCA Stereo Audio Cable (not
included).
2. Turn on your audio device and follow the instructions provided with it to select the
AUDIO IN function.
Make sure to use the correct Audio cable. Connecting the plugs incorrectly may cause a weak signal.
If you have a stereo VCR, make sure you set it to stereo mode.
Due to copyright protection, DVD movies cannot be copied. If you copy a DVD movie onto a
videotape, the resulting copy will be unclear, with poor sound quality. This is NOT caused by a
defective DVD system.
Connecting to a Multi-channel Audio Receiver
For better sound quality, you may want to play the DVD audio through your multi-channel
audio receiver. (DVD mode)

Connecting Game Consoles/Video Devices (for the Monitor Only)
You can use the monitor as a display for game consoles or other video devices.
Playing Games or Watching Videos on the Monitor Only
1. Connect the game console / video device to the monitor by using the included 3.5mm
to RCA AV Converter and a standard RCA AV Cable (not included).
2. Turn on the monitor.
3. Turn on the game console / video device and follow the instructions provided with it to
playback.
Make sure to use the correct Audio/Video cable. Connecting the plugs incorrectly may cause a
weak signal.
If you have a mono VCR, the volume level from the speakers will be low.

Using Earphones
Turn down the volume before connecting the headphones/earphones. Slowly raise
the volume of the headphones/earphones until you reach your desired volume. When
headphones/ earphones are connected, the speaker is automatically disabled.
Using The Stand For Indoor Use
You can stand the DVD player and the monitor up on a desk or table by using the stand on
the bottom.
