System Release Notes
ExpressBuilder
The following advisories apply when using the
ExpressBuilder Version 2.0:
The setup, running utilities, and creating driver
diskettes functions are supported only when booting
ExpressBuilder on the target server.
The Off-Line Maintenance Utility is intended for
future enhancements and currently provides no
useful function.
If you already have an operating system installed
when creating a maintenance partition,
ExpressBuilder will warn you of the existing
partition. If you want to preserve the installed
operating system, do not create the maintenance
partition or the existing operating system will be
overlaid by the maintenance partition. Run the RCU
and other utilities from diskette.
Windows NT
The following advisory applies when using Windows NT:
Windows NT 4.0 diagnostics report different IRQ
assignments than the RCU. This is normal because
Windows NT uses the secondary I/O APIC.
SCO
The following advisories apply when using SCO:
UnixWare 2.1 is not supported.
SCO UNIX 5.04 does not support the Adaptec
3940UW SCSI Controller card.
With SCO UNIX 5.04, virtual memory errors occur
when running multiprocessing with over 750MB of
memory. When running multiprocessing, limit the
memory size to 750 MB.
