Introduction
Intended purpose / (use)
The app is a tool whereby the hearing care professional
can adju comfort functions of a hearing aid within
a given framework. It also enables the hearing care
professional to personalize the sound.
Notes
● The app uses the colors red and blue to diinguish
between the two ear sides:
● Right side/right ear: RED
● Left side/left ear: BLUE
Additionally, the letters R (right) and L (left) are used
to indicate ear side.
● The workow of the app supports one hearing aid at
a time. After nishing one ear side you may continue
with the other side.
● Your client database may contain sensitive
information. It is highly recommended that you secure
your mobile device by a passcode. Consult the manual
of your mobile device for more information on how to
protect your device from unauthorized access.

App setup
Cuom ear molds
When you r open the app, you will be asked if you are
using cuom ear molds.
● Move the slider to the right if you do oer cuom ear
molds.
● Move the slider to the left if you do not oer cuom
ear molds.
● Select "Continue" to save your choice.
Depending on your choice, you will receive
recommendations for sound proles with or without
cuom ear molds.
Oered hearing aids
The app allows you to choose which series of hearing
aids your service is oering. Only the hearing aids you
select here are considered during the tting process.
● Move the slider to the right ("Yes") next to each
hearing aid if you do oer this hearing aid.
● Move the slider to the left ("No") next to each hearing
aid if you do not oer this hearing aid.
● Select "Continue" to save your choice.

Language setting
The app is available in several dierent languages. To
change the language used by the app, do the following:
● Select the cogwheel icon to access the app
settings.
● Select "Languages" in the li of settings.
● Select the language you want to use in the app.
Manage clients
To add a new client, do the following:
● Enter the name, date of birth, and contact information
for your client.
● Choose whether you have an audiogram for your
client or not. The audiogram data will be entered in a
separate section.
● Select "Continue" to save the new client and begin
tting.
To work on an exiing client, do the following:
● Find your client's name in the alphabetized li.
● Select your client's name to begin tting.

Data backup and recovery
You may back up your data either locally on your mobile
device or using a third-party service. Backing up your
data allows you to easily transfer data from one mobile
device to another.
To back up and reore your data, do the following:
● From the app settings menu, select "Backup &
Reore".
● To back up your data, select "Backup" next to your
chosen backup method.
● To recover your backed up data, select "Reore" next
to your chosen backup method.

Fitting process overview
Workow
When you have chosen an exiing client or added a new
client, you may begin the tting process.
The basic workow for the tting process is as follows:
● Enter audiogram/Pure tone eimation
If you have an audiogram for your client, you will begin
by entering the audiogram data.
If you do not have an audiogram for your client, you
will begin by teing your client's hearing using pure
tone eimation.
● Choose hearing aid
After you have eablished your client's hearing loss
prole, you will choose an appropriate hearing aid.
● Choose sound prole
After you have chosen a hearing aid, you will choose
an appropriate sound prole.
● Fit and assemble
After you have chosen a sound prole, you may
view inructions for assembling the hearing aid and
preparing it for use.

● Send data to hearing aid
After you have prepared the hearing aid and inalled
it on your client's ear, you will send data about your
client's hearing loss to the hearing aid.
● Check sound comfort
After you have sent data to the hearing aid, you will
make sure the sound settings are comfortable for
your client, and adju the settings if they are not
comfortable for your client.
After you have gone through the entire workow for one
ear, you may art over with the other ear.

Determine hearing loss prole
Add audiogram
If you have access to an audiogram for your client, the
r ep in the tting process is to input the audiogram
data.
You can enter a dB value for each of the following
frequencies:
● 250 Hz (optional)
● 500 Hz
● 1 kHz
● 2 kHz
● 4 kHz
● 8 kHz (optional)
You mu input data for 500 Hz, 1 kHz, 2 kHz, and 4 kHz.
You may also input data for 250 Hz, and 8 kHz.
To input audiogram data, do the following:
● Select "Right" or "Left" to choose which ear you want
to input data for.
● Select the square eld below each frequency to input
the correct dB value for that frequency.

● Alternatively, tap or click directly on the lines in the
colored diagram to choose the correct dB values for
each frequency.
● Press and hold (long press) on a data point to delete
it.
● After you are done inputting audiogram data for your
client, select "Done" to save the data and return to the
client overview.

Pure tone eimation
If you do not have access to an audiogram for your client,
the r ep in the tting process is to evaluate your
client's hearing using pure tone eimation.
For be results, use headphones that meet the following
requirements:
● Closed-back design
● Passive technology
● Wired
● No built-in microphone
● No active amplication
The following are examples of suitable headphones:
● Sennheiser HD206
● Vic Firth Stereo Isolation SIH1/SIH2
Pure tone eimation requires that audio volume is set to
maximum.
Note: Pure tone eimation provides an eimate of your
client's hearing loss prole. Pure tone eimation is not as
accurate as a professionally measured audiogram.

Ambient noise
Pure tone eimation requires low ambient noise.
There is an ambient noise meter at the top of the page
that visualizes the ambient noise level. The colors of
the meter indicate whether the ambient noise level is
appropriate, or too high.
The colors of the meter specically indicate the following:
● Green: The ambient noise level is low enough for pure
tone eimation.
● Yellow: The ambient noise level is a little high, but ill
low enough for pure tone eimation.
● Red: The ambient noise level is too high for pure tone
eimation.
If the ambient noise level is too high, we recommend
that you do not continue with the pure tone eimation
process until the noise level is lower.

Enter pure tone data
To enter pure tone data, you will te your client's hearing
at dierent frequencies. Start the pure tone eimation
process by doing the following:
● Increase and decrease the volume of the sound until
your client can hear the sound:
● Select the plus ("+") sign next to the colored
diagram to increase the loudness of the sound.
● Select the minus ("-") sign next to the colored
diagram to decrease the loudness of the sound.

● When the volume is set to a level where your client
can ju barely hear the sound, proceed to the next
frequency.
● Continue until you have set the correct volume for
each frequency.

Choose hearing aid
Choose suitable hearing aid
After you have used exiing audiogram data or pure tone
eimation to determine your client's hearing loss, you will
choose an appropriate hearing aid.
You will only see hearing aids that match your client's
hearing loss prole.
● Select "Show All" to also see hearing aids that do not
match your client's hearing loss.
Each suggeed hearing aid is shown next to an
audiogram.
The be match for your client is labelled
"Recommended".
Choose the hearing aid you want to oer your client by
doing the following:
● Look at the audiogram next to the image of each
hearing aid.

● Compare your client's audiogram data (the small
circles connected with lines) with the tting range for
the hearing aid (the solid gray area).
● Select the hearing aid that be matches your client's
hearing loss.
● If required, choose the coupling you want to oer with
the hearing aid: tip, Click Sleeve, cuom ear mold,
ThinTube etc.
After you have chosen a suitable hearing aid, you will be
returned to the client overview.
Choose sound prole
After you have chosen a hearing aid, you will choose an
appropriate sound prole. A sound prole determines the
general amplication level at dierent frequencies. This
is illurated by a curve from left to right over dierent
frequencies.
A basic sound prole is activated automatically. You may
choose a dierent sound prole.
To choose a dierent sound prole, do the following:

● Select the sound prole illuration in the client
overview.
● Select the illuration of the sound prole that you want
to use.
After you have chosen an appropriate sound prole, you
will be returned to the client overview.
Fit and assemble
After you have chosen a sound prole, you may view
inructions for assembling the hearing aid and preparing
it for use.
To view and use these inructions, do the following:
● Select "Fit Coupling/Tip".
● Follow the inructions on the screen to t the coupling
or tip properly.
● Select "Assemble Hearing Aid".
● Follow the inructions on the screen to assemble the
hearing aid properly.

Send data to hearing aid
After you have prepared the hearing aid and inalled it
on your client's ear, you will send data about your client's
hearing loss to the hearing aid.
To send data to the hearing aid, do the following:
● Select "Send Data to Hearing Aid".
● Follow the inructions on the screen.
After the data about your client's hearing loss has been
sent to the hearing aid, you will be returned to the client
overview.

Cuomize hearing aid
Check sound comfort
After you have sent data to the hearing aid, you will make
sure the sound settings are comfortable for your client,
and adju the settings if they are not comfortable for your
client.
To te and adju the sound settings, do the following:
● Select "Check Sound Comfort" from the client
overview.
● Talk to your client for 20 seconds at normal speaking
volume.
● Adju the volume and sound quality by selecting the
plus ("+") and minus ("-") icons.
Hearing aids that support a 4-band equalizer allow you to
cuomize the sound experience for your client.
To adju the sound using the 4-band equalizer, do the
following:
● Select "Extended Settings".
● Adju the sound by selecting the plus ("+") and minus
("-") icons.
● Reduce feedback by selecting "Reduce Feedback".
● Select "Apply" to save the settings.

When you have adjued the sound to make it
comfortable for your client, you may save or discard the
new settings.
To save or discard the adjuments you have made, do
the following:
● Select "OK" to save the sound adjuments.
● Select "Reset Settings" to discard the sound
adjuments and art over.
