Theapplications(subtypes)intheA377applicationkeyarevery
flexibleandalmostidentical.
However,someapplicationshaveextrafunctionswhichare
describedseparately.
Thesearethebasicprinciples:
Heating(circuit1):
Typically,theflowtemperatureisadjustedaccordingtoyour
requirements.TheflowtemperaturesensorS3isthemost
importantsensor.ThedesiredflowtemperatureatS3iscalculated
intheECLcontroller,basedontheoutdoortemperature(S1).
Thelowertheoutdoortemperature,thehigherthedesiredflow
temperature.
Bymeansofaweekschedule(upto3‘Comfort’periods/day),the
heatingcircuitcanbein‘Comfort’or‘Saving’mode(twodifferent
temperaturevaluesforthedesiredroomtemperature).
InSavingmodetheheatingcanbereducedorswitchedofftotally.
ThemotorizedcontrolvalveM2isopenedgraduallywhenthe
flowtemperatureislowerthanthedesiredflowtemperatureand
viceversa.
Thereturntemperature(S5)tothedistrictheatingsupplyshould
notbetoohigh.Ifso,thedesiredflowtemperaturecanbeadjusted
(typicallytoalowervalue),thusresultinginagradualclosingof
themotorizedcontrolvalve.Furthermore,thereturntemperature
limitationcanbedependentontheoutdoortemperature.
Typically,thelowertheoutdoortemperature,thehigherthe
acceptedreturntemperature.
Inboiler-basedheatingsupplythereturntemperatureshouldnot
betoolow(sameadjustmentprocedureasabove).
Ifthemeasuredroomtemperature(RemotecontrolunitECA30/
31)doesnotequalthedesiredroomtemperature,thedesiredflow
temperaturecanbeadjusted.
Thecirculationpump(P2)isONatheatdemandoratfrost
protection.
TheheatingcanbeswitchedOFFwhentheoutdoortemperatureis
higherthanaselectablevalue.
AconnectedfloworenergymeterbasedonM-bussignalcanlimit
thefloworenergytoasetmaximumvalue.Furthermore,the
limitationcanbeinrelationtotheoutdoortemperature.
Typically,thelowertheoutdoortemperature,thehigherthe
acceptedflow/power.
Thedesiredflowtemperatureofheatingcircuit1can,viaS7,be
controlledbymeansofanexternalvoltageintherange0-10volt.
Thefrostprotectionmodemaintainsaselectableflowtemperature,
forexample10°C.
Analarmcanbeactivatediftheactualflowtemperaturediffers
fromthedesiredflowtemperature.
TheroomtemperaturesignalcanbeachievedfromtheRemote
ControlUnitECA30/31,ifconnected.
A377.2:
WhenbothDHWheating/chargingandheatingcircuit1are
active,thecirculationpumpintheheatingcircuitcancontinue
operating.Theheatingcircuittemperatureistypicallyincreased.
Thisisparallelmode.Iftheincreaseoftheflowtemperature
cannotbeaccepted,thecirculationpumpinheatingcircuitcanbe
stopped.ThisisDHWprioritymode.
