A broken power cord could expose AC Main

power to the user, resulting in electrical shock or

electrocution. Additionally, a broken handpiece

could compromise the integrity of the internal

battery, causing rapid disassembly of the battery

and user exposure to harmful chemicals. Return

damaged components to Iluminage Beauty Inc.

if the power cord, handpiece or base unit have

been submerged in water or placed under

running water. This could expose AC Main

power to the user resulting in electrical shock or

electrocution. Do not use in wet environments.

on skin that is infected, irritated, burned or

cut, as this could cause increased discomfort

or irritation. Wait until the infection, burn

If you have any concerns with your skin or

are undergoing any professional cosmetic

treatments, consult with your physician. This

is to ensure that any cosmetic treatments

performed will not interfere with or cause

complications with the SKIN SMOOTHING

treatments. Do not treat these areas

of skin within 3 months of cosmetic treatment

until you have spoken with your professional.

Do not start a new treatment if you are

still experiencing discomfort, such as red

skin, from the previous treatment. Please

postpone the treatments until discomfort

subsides and restart treatments at a lower

setting.

Once-a-day skin treatments are recommended.

More than one treatment applied during a

single day may cause excessive redness and

is not recommended.

Locate the rubber cover located on the bottom of the

handpiece. The cover has the USB symbol on it.

Grasp the cover and gently pull the cover away from the

bottom of the handpiece, approximately one and a half

inches until the mini-USB port is visible. The cover is attached

to the handpiece and should not be removed completely.

Plug the mini-USB connector into this port. Connect the

USB connector on the cable into a certiﬁed USB port on

your personal computer. Do not plug this connector into

any other device than a certiﬁed USB port on a personal

computer. When done, remove the mini-USB connector

from the port and press the rubber cover back into place.

When the handpiece is connected to your personal computer

using the USB cable, the handpiece will begin charging. Allow

up to 6 hours to fully charge the handpiece using the USB

cable. Do not attempt to use the handpiece while connected

to a personal computer.

With the handpiece connected to your personal computer,

you can also export your usage data that is stored on the

handpiece to your Skin Clinic account. Simply log into your

Skin Clinic account with the device connected and follow

the instructions provided.

Connects to back of base unit to act as a power charging

station. The power cord can also be connected directly

to the bottom of the handpiece for added convenience

when traveling.

Connects the handpiece to your personal computer to

charge it while traveling. Also uploads usage data from the

handpiece to your Skin Clinic account.

Use only the M100 USB Cable supplied with the iluminage

Designed to fit securely into the front of the base unit;

protecting the lens from damage, dust and ﬁngerprints.

Lights up when charging voltage is applied to the handpiece.

Placing the handpiece into the base for charging, also resets

the handpiece in the event that any operational anomalies

are encountered.

The SKIN SMOOTHING LASER

™

base unit

functions as a charging station for the

handpiece. The base is a safe and easy way to

store the handpiece so you can make it part

of your daily skin care routine. Simply place

the base unit in a convenient and dry location.

Plug the mini-USB connector into the back of

the base unit and then plug the power cord

into a standard household electrical outlet

(100 to 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz). Use only the

M100 Power Cord supplied with the iluminage

SKIN SMOOTHING LASER

™

. Using any other

charging device could damage the device and

cause severe injury or electrocution. Each time

you place the handpiece in the base, it begins

the charging process; automatically stopping

when a complete charge is reached. A depleted

battery requires approximately 4 hours to fully

charge using the M100 Power Cord.

If the SKIN SMOOTHING LASER

™

handpiece

should ever become non-responsive, simply

place the handpiece in the Base Unit to charge

for 10 seconds to restore the handpiece.

After opening your SKIN SMOOTHING LASER

™

, place the

handpiece into the base unit and plug it in to allow it to

fully charge before your ﬁrst use. It takes approximately

4 hours for the handpiece to reach a complete charge.

During the first few days, you may experience

some discomfort, such as temporary redness

after treatment. This is perfectly normal and

is a sign that the treatments are having an

effect. Everyone's skin is different. Do not start

Press the on/off button and hold for 3

seconds until you hear the greeting tone.

This sequence is a safety feature designed

to prevent activation by unauthorized users.

When successfully activated, you will hear a

tone and see a greeting on the display. During

this process, the tip of the laser should not be

in contact with the skin or any other object.

The SKIN SMOOTHING LASER

™

handpiece is

now ready to use.

If the SKIN SMOOTHING LASER

™

handpiece

is left idle for more than 30 seconds, it will

automatically time-out and you will need to

repeat the steps above to reactivate it for use.

Use a mild cleanser to ensure that your skin is

completely clean and free of any residue prior

to your treatment. Be sure to dry your skin

thoroughly before getting started.

It’s important to completely cleanse your face

before every treatment, removing everything

from the surface of your skin. Water, makeup

and skin oils will interfere with the delivery

of the laser pulse and could diminish results.

HANDPIECE LIGHT IDENTIFICATION

Always inspect the lens at the treatment tip

for scratches or cracks before each use. Do

not use the handpiece if there is any visible

damage to the lens or any other part of

the handpiece, or if you detect any loose

pieces inside when gently shaken. Use of

a broken handpiece could cause injury.

Contact iluminage Customer Care to return

the product to the factory for repair.

Be sure the power is set to LOW. The power

setting appears on the display each time you

press the ON/OFF button. Choose an area

on your arm that’s free of hair, blemishes and

skin spots.

With your other hand, hold the handpiece in a

comfortable position and place the tip of the

handpiece against the skin.

Watch the sequence of lights carefully. Although it is

a quick sequence, it will help you develop a rhythm

that will make your treatments quick and eortless.
