MDwave Unit Overview
MDwave is a computerized frequency generator
device. The battery-powered unit uses a coil-based
flat pad to generate a magnetic flux that transmits
the designated frequencies to the patient.
MDwave Components
The MDwave unit has two components:
Control panel – ON and OFF buttons and
status LEDs.
Flat pad – Placed on the patient during
treatments.
During operation, the flat pad should be connected
to the control panel, as can be seen in the
following figure.

MDwave Control Panel
The control panel has power buttons and status
LEDs. It also has connection ports for the flat pad
and the USB cable that connects to the computer.
The following diagram shows the control panel.

The following table describes the MDwave
controls.

Power – Green LED lights when the unit
is on.

is transmitting.

During treatment – Used for
troubleshooting.
Before treatment – Indicates the
treatment number.
The Output LED indicates the transmission status of
the treatments:
Off – No treatment is in process.
Slow flashing – The unit is currently being
used for a treatment program, but is in a
rest interval and is not transmitting.
Fast flashing – The unit is currently being
used for a treatment program, and is
transmitting.
Performing a Treatments
When treatments have been programmed to the
MDwave unit, the unit can control treatment
administration without the use of a computer. It is
fully self sufficient, and battery operated.
Use the following procedure to perform treatments.
To perform treatments:
1. Make sure the Flat Pad of the MDwave is well
connected to the unit.
2. Turn on the MDwave unit. Press and hold the
ON button until the green power LED is on.
3. The yellow light flashes while the unit beeps, to
indicate which of the stored treatments will be
activated. (Up to 4 treatments can be stored. The
number of beeps indicate to the chosen treatment
number). Then, the yellow light flashes . It will
flash quickly when a frequency is transmitted and
will flash slowly during idle intervals between
frequencies.
4. To access a treatment when there is more than
one treatment available, turn the MDwave unit ON
and OFF until you reach the required treatment.
Or, to move from one treatment to another, turn
the unit on and press the OFF button quickly until
you reach the desired treatment.
Troubleshooting
NOTE:
Each time you turn the unit on, a treatment
starts automatically.
The MDwave unit shuts off automatically at
the end of the treatment.
The battery’s life cycle is approximately 17
hours of treatment time.
The following table describes troubleshooting
solutions.
