 Place console on top of cart or other equipment

 Position console to accommodate 5 ft. handpiece cable

 (i.e. side of patient table vs. foot of table)

 Attach power cord to console and plug into outlet

 Attach handpiece to console

 Align arrow on handpiece connector with notch on console port

 Press until secure connection made between handpiece and console

 Turn on ‘Power’ switch on back of

console

 START/STOP button on front of

console will activate

 Wait for ‘SYSTEM READY’ indicator

light: green

 Blinking ‘Ready’ light = error

 Check handpiece connections

 Turn console off, then on again

 If blinking persists, attach new

handpiece

 Press ‘START/STOP’ button to activate

handpiece

 ‘DETECT MODE’ indicator: Green

 Place handpiece on Handpiece Test Card as

indicated

 Positive test – audible clicking

 Negative test – no sound

 Replace with new handpiece

System Setup: Handpiece Test

System is now ready for reflector verification

Post-Reflector Verification

System shut down

 Press START/STOP button

 Turn off power switch

 Disconnect handpiece and store in safe place

 Unplug power cord if console will be moved or stored

Cleaning

 Console: wipe all console surfaces, including power cord with a

mild cleaning solution or disinfectant and a damp cloth

 Handpiece (see Handpiece IFU for full cleaning instructions)

 Wipe off obvious contaminants

 Use moistened wipe (CaviWipe) to remove any remaining contaminants

or gross debris

 For use as a disinfectant, use second CaviWipe to thoroughly wet

surface
