Broan-NuTone HVDCT is a dual controller and timer. Use it to manage landscape lighting and mosquito repellent systems. The device allows for operation in two modes: time-based and sensor-based. Time-based operation allows you to program specific on and off times for both lighting and repellent systems. Sensor-based operation uses a solar sensor to automatically turn on the repellent system at dusk and keep it on for a specified number of hours. The controller can handle a maximum load of 36 watts on both the lighting and repellent circuits.

WARNING
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons,
observe the following:
Use this fixture only in the manner intended by the manufacturer.
If you have questions, contact the manufacturer at the address or
telephone number listed in the warranty.
Use only with a 12 VAC or 15 VAC listed low voltage landscape
lighting power supply; maximum secondary output is 300 watts.
Total combined load of all landscape fixtures must not exceed 72
watts. (Maximum 36-watts per circuit.)
Do not install within 10 feet (3.05 m) of pools, spas or fountains.
This low voltage fixture must be installed in accordance with the
National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
Use only UL / CSA approved low voltage landscape lighting cable,
suitable for direct burial and sunlight resistant.
National Electrical Code states burial depth of the wiring must
not be more than 6” below grade surface. Check local codes to
ensure compliance with regulations.
Low voltage cable must be protected by routing in close proximity
to the Haven fixture or next to a building structure such as a house
or deck.
Fixture connections to the main low voltage cable must be
connected within 6” from the building structure or the Haven
fixture. Coil excess cable length within 6” from the fixture ground
stake.

and disconnected. Cable clamps may be purchased separately. Do not
staple cables.
Install Solar Sensor (optional)
Install solar sensor if you wish to program the system using ambient light/dark,
rather than time of day.
NOTE: Make sure the solar sensor is located away from bushes,
obstructions, or artificial light source. Artificial lighting and other
obstructions will prevent sensor from operating properly.

Troubleshooting
1 ] Entire system does not work –
Make sure transformer is plugged into a working 120 volt wall
outlet.
If wall outlet is switched, make sure it is turned on.
Make sure the branch circuit breaker is not tripped.
If transformer is so equipped, make sure its power switch is turned
on and timers are properly programmed.
Make sure light and repellent circuits are connected to the
transformer.
If the system is equipped with a solar sensor, make sure it’s located
away from bushes, other obstructions and away from artificial light
sources.
