Getting to know your Digital Fractional Caliper

OPERATION

Basic operation

To start using the digital fractional caliper, turn it on by pressing the On/Off button (A) Fig.1.

Then select the desired measurement mode by pressing the in/F•mm button (B). Each time

this button is pressed, decimal inches, fractional inches and millimeters will be displayed

alternately.

Apply normal pressure on the thumb roller (C) to

move the slider (D) to the closed position and

then press the zero button (E) to reset the

display to zero. Note: The slider (D) can only be

moved when the slide lock knob (F) is

loosened.

This digital fractional caliper also includes an

ABS mode, pressing the ABS button (G) will

reset the display to zero, this will automatically

record the original zero position after the power

is turned off.

Maintenance

Keep the digital fractional caliper clean and dry. The caliper faces should be cleaned gently

with a cotton cloth, never use petrolium, acetone and other organic solutions.

Changing the battery

If the digital digits in the display begin to flash,

this means the battery power is low and the

battery must be changed. Remove the battery

cover (A) Fig.2 by sliding it downwards, remove

the protective rubber (B) and then remove the

battery (C). Replace the battery with a 3V

Lithium battery model CR2032, position it

positive side facing out. Reposition the

protective rubber and the battery cover.
