Important notes
1. This product should be installed, commissioned and maintained by or under the supervision of a competent electrician
in accordance with current electrical engineering Codes of Practice, Regulations for the Electrical equipment of
Buildings (BS7671), HSG224 – Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 1994, HSG150 – Health and
Safety in Construction, Statutory requirements and any Specifi c instruction issued by the Company.
2. After completing the installation and testing of this product it is essential that this leafl et is drawn to the attention of
the person responsible for its future operation and maintenance, and is at all times available for ready reference.
3. These notes assume throughout that the product is disconnected from the supply.
It is essential that this is done before any work is carried out.
1. This Consumer Unit must be installed by a competent person in accordance with BS7671 IEE Regulations for
electrical Installations with the requirements of all relevant legislation, and Accepted practices in the industry.
2. The total current supplied by the Consumer Unit must not exceed the rating of the incoming
main switch, RCD or any additional limitations (as shown on the Way Labels).
3. This board is suitable for indoor use only and is rated at IP40.
4. Ambient Temperature Conditions:
The MCB’s are calibrated to meet 35°C according to requirements laid down in IEC/EN60898. For other
temperatures the following rating factor should be used: 60°C - 0.85, 20°C - 1.0, 0°C - 1.1
5. All components used in the EATON MEMERA CONSUMER UNIT must be supplied by or approved by EATON. The use of any
other components within the EATON MEMERA CONSUMER UNIT will negate any warranty issued by EATON ELECTRIC LTD.
6. The consumer unit and appropriate devices have been type tested to the following specifi cations:

Remove the main outer cover from the
EATON MEMERA CONSUMER UNIT
1. Remove the Busbar from the transit holder.
2. Fix the back plate to the wall using the keyhole Fixings
CAUTION: DO NOT BEND & RE-STRAIGHTEN THE BUSBAR
When fi tting the Busbar into the isolator ensure that the fl exible
live connector is fi tted beneath the busbar in the box clamp.
Fit the busbar Shield into the base and
over the unprotected Busbar.
Fit the busbar Shield into the base and
over the unprotected Busbar.
Remove the appropriate “Knockouts” for cable entry.
Cut the Busbar to the desired length (number of ways
plus one tongue) the raised “Dog leg portion of the
busbar must be fi tted to the Main Switch. Ensure the full
portion between tongues is removed and discarded.

Fit the Busbar/s: Ensure all terminals are fully open before installing
the busbar, tighten all connections to the specifi ed torques.
Apply the Instruction Label & RCD resetting instructions
(where applicable) to the inside of the door.
Affi x the required main circuit identifi cation labels
& Sub circuit identifi cation for RCD protected
circuits, for split loads cut as required.
