WITH REMOTE CONTROL
First of all, thank you for buying the ICIDU 3.5” Multimedia player casing. This casing
helps you to quickly and easily create a portable multimedia player that you can
connect to any TV set to watch movies, view photos or play music. Simply place a
3.5” SATA hard disk in the case, and you are all set to start. Take your movies, photos
and music files to your friends, family or on holiday, and enjoy excellent playback
quality.

HARDWARE INSTALLATION
INSERTING A NEW UNfORMATTED OR fORMATTED SATA HARD DISk
ATTENTION: If you insert an unformatted disk in the multimedia player, the computer will be
unable to detect the hard disk. Format the disk after insertion, using disk management in
Microsoft Windows 2000, XP or Vista, with other partitioning software.
Insert the hard disk with the SATA connection inwards. The disk will easily slide into place.
Install the screws provided to fix the disk and the front of the multimedia player. Then place
the covers on the bottom of the multimedia player. The multimedia player is now ready for
use.
COPYING MEDIA fILES
Connect the multimedia player to the mains network with the attached power adapter.
Connect the USB cable to the multimedia player and to the computer. The computer will im-
mediately detect the multimedia player as an external hard disk. You can easily copy your
files to the multimedia player.
ATTENTION: Separate drivers will have to be installed for Windows 98 SE. You will find
these drivers on the CD provided.
CONNECTION TO YOUR TV SET
The multimedia player can be connected to your TV set in various ways. You may opt for a
composite connection or a component connection.

COMPONENT VIDEO CONNECTIONS (GREEN, bLUE, RED)
To guarantee the best playback quality, you may connect the multimedia player to your TV
set with component cables, if your TV set is capable of handling component connections. For
sound reproduction, use the red and white plugs of the composite cable.
COMPOSITE VIDEO CONNECTIONS (YELLOW, WHITE, RED)
If your TV set has composite or scart connections, you may use the composite cables. The
composite cables can be directly inserted into the composite connections or into a scart con-
nection using a scart cable.
HDMI CONNECTION / COAX AUDIO
If your TV set has HDMI connections, you may use the HDMI cable and Coax Audio cable.
STARTING-UP THE MULTIMEDIA PLAYER
Press the “standby” button on your remote to switch on the multimedia player. You may now
select the source channel on your TV set. Thanks to the intuitive menu and remote control,
you can easily playback your files.
For an extensive English language manual, please refer to the CD provided. The various func-
tions of the multimedia player and the software are explained therein.

a two-year warranty. No warranty or support is provided for the software and
rechargeable batteries that are provided. Claims under warranty can be made only
via the dealer from whom the item was purchased.
