
6. The unit will beep 3 times to indicate the final temperature has been reached.
Measurement will be displayed on the screen for 30 seconds.
7. Remove probe from patient’s mouth. Eject probe cover to waste receptacle by firmly
pressing the ejection button on top of probe.
8. Return probe to probe well, this will turn device off. To repeat a temperature
measurement, probe must be returned to probe well to reset thermometer.
Axillary Temperature Measurement (10-15 seconds)
1. Insure that the oral probe is installed (blue ejection button and probe well)
2. Remove probe from well, unit will turn on automatically. Insure that the proper axillary
model icon is flashing on display. If not, press Mode Selection button until correct icon
appears. Use adult axillary for patients 18 years of age or older, ped axillary for patients
17 years old and younger.
3. Load probe cover by inserting the probe into a probe cover and press the probe handle
down firmly.
4. Lift patients arm so that the entire axillary is easily seen. Place the probe as high as
possible in the axilla. Place the patient’s arm snugly at the patient’s side, holding it in
this position and not allowing movement during measurement.
5. The rotation “walking” segments will appear on display, indicating that measurement is
in progress.
6. The unit will beep 3 times to indicate the final temperature has been reached.

Maintenance
Cleaning
1. Wipe thermometer with cloth damped with warm water and mild detergent.
2. Thermometer and probe may be cleaned with 70% isopropyl alcohol solution, 10%
chlorine bleach solution or a non-staining disinfectant.
3. DO NOT IMMERSE OR SOAK THERMOMETER OR PROBE IN ANY TYPE OF FLUID.
Replacing the Batteries
1. Remove box of probe covers
2. Press inward on the textured grips on side of thermometer to remove back cover.
3. Unit uses 3 AA batteries.
4. Snap cover back into place and replace box of probe covers.
