United UHF-879C is a PTC Ceramic Fan Heater designed for well insulated spaces or occasional use. This product is only suitable for well insulated spaces or occasional use.
PLEASE READ AND SAVE THESE IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR FURTHER
REFERENCE.
Safety Warnings
1. This product is only intended for household use.
2. Connect the appliance to a single-phase AC supply of the voltage specified on the
rating plate.
3. WARNING: In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.
4. Always turn the product to the off position and unplug it from the electrical
outlet when not in use.
5. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is near children, invalids or elderly
persons.
6. The heater must not be located immediately below an electrical socket-outlet.
7. Do not run the cord under carpeting and do not cover it with throw rugs, or the
like. Arrange the cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
8. Do not operate the heater with a damaged cord or plug, or after the heater
malfunctions, has been dropped, or damaged in any manner.
9. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
10. Avoid the use of an extension cord as this may overheat and cause a risk of fire.
11. Use the heater in a well-ventilated area. Do not insert or allow objects to enter
any ventilation or exhaust opening. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air
intakes or exhaust openings in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed,
where openings may become blocked. Use the heater on flat, dry surfaces only.
12. Do not place this heater near flammable materials, surfaces or substances, as
there may be a risk of fire. Keep the above flammable materials, surfaces or
substances at least 1m from the front of the product and keep them away from
the sides and rear.
13. Do not use the heater in any areas where petrol, paint or other flammable liquids
are stored e.g. garages or workshops as a hot, arcing or sparking parts inside the
heater.
14. Do not use this heater in the immediate surrounding of a bath, a shower or a
swimming pool. Never locate the heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other
water container.
15. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns and personal injury, do not let bare
skin touch hot surface. If provided, use the handle when moving the product.
16. Be sure that no other appliances are in use on the same electrical circuit, your
products overload can occur.
17. Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.
Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the
appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal
operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in,
regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.
18. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
19. Children shall not play with the appliance.
20. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without
supervision.
21. Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular
attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.

Operating Instructions
1) Before using the heater make sure that it is on a flat and stable surface. Damage
may occur if it is placed on an incline or decline.
2) Turn the thermostat in a clockwise direction until it reaches the maximum setting
Max +”.
3) Cool air (ventilation only): turn the power knob to setting ventilation .
4) Heating at reduced power: turn the power knob to setting low .
5) Heating at full power: turn the knob to setting high .
6) Switching off: turn the knob to setting .
OSCILLATION FUNCTION
To use this function, push once the oscillating button and the oscillation function is
ON, the heater will oscillate to reach from left to right, push the button for a second
time and the function is OFF.
REGULATING THE THERMOSTAT
When the room has reached the required temperature turn the right thermostat
knob in an anti-clockwise direction up to the point where the appliance switches off.
The temperature fixed in this way, will be automatically regulated and kept at a
constant level by the thermostat.
Overheat Protection
This heater is protected with an overheat protection that switches off the appliance
automatically in case of severe overheating. In this case, unplug the appliance, wait
for about 30 minutes for it to cool down and remove any possible cause of
overheating, e.g. something covering the heater. Check for damage to the appliance,
the cord and the plug. If there is no damage, plug the unit back in and switch it on as
described above. If the heater still does not turn on, please contact Customer Service
for assistance.
Safety Control (Tip over switch)
This product has a tip over switch in case the product is fallen down. Because of the
function of tip over switch, it will stop working automatically, and when the product
is put to the right upside position, it will start working as normal again.
Maintenance
1. Always remove the plug from the socket-outlet and allow the heater to cool
down before clean it.
2. Wipe the exterior surface of the heater occasionally with a soft damp cloth
(not dripping wet) and dry the exterior surface before operating the heater.
WARNING:
DO not immerse the heater in water.
DO not use any cleaning chemicals such as detergents and abrasives.
DO not allow the interior to get wet as this could create a hazard.
3. To store away the heater, put it back into its original package and store it in a
clean and dry place.
4. In case of malfunction or doubt, do not try to repair the heater by yourself, it
may result in a fire hazard or electric shock.
