If installing at an angle of 39 degrees or

higher, move to the second paragraph

in Step 4; no insert is used in these

applications.

If installing at an angle between 35 and 38

degrees, snap a small insert (item I-B from

component list) into each bottom bracket

(Fig. 6).

If installing at an angle of 34 degrees or

lower snap a large insert (Item I-A from

component list) into each bottom bracket

(Fig. 7).

Refer to chart below for stair angle infor-

mation (Fig. 8).

Orient the bracket being used at the top

of the stair with the insert placed inside

the bottom of the bracket and the bracket

being used at the stair bottom with the

insert at the top of the bracket (Fig. 9).

Slide the brackets onto the rail with the

bracket’s at side facing the rail ends. Set

rail in place and pre-drill at all holes in the

mounting brackets to avoid stripping the

stainless steel screws (Fig. 10) and secure

in place (Fig. 11).

NOTE: The looped part of the aluminum

P-channel must be facing away (down)

from the baluster holes; the at side of the

P-channel must be facing the outside of the

deck when mounted.

This amendment provides installation instructions for use with bracket kits that include bracket angle adjustment inserts. Please omit

steps 3 and 4 on page 9 and follow steps 3 and 4 below.
