Voltage: Use current source with voltage ~220 V, otherwise grid overload may arise, which can entail
fire. Don’t use constant-current source.
Supply-line cord protection: Make sure that the cord is right connected and does not have any damage.

Service: Do not try to eliminate breakages by your own. Should the sound is out, the indicator does not

connection and operation. Please keep this manual for future reference.

Disk features
Features for DVD disc
Different DVD discs have different combination of features, this is because of the different design
created by the order and manufacturer, the following symbols indicate some features of the DVD disc.

Handling discs
 When holding discs, please hold it by its rim.
 When holding discs, be sure the label side should be upwards
 Do not grasp the non-label side of the disc.
Disc storage
 Never store disc in the place with high temperature, strong light or humidity.
 Put the disc back to the case after playback.
Cleaning
 Wipe the discs from time using a soft cloth. Always wipe from the center towards the edge.
 Do not use daily used detergent to clean the disc.
 Protect discs against any fingerprint, do not stick or white anything on the surface of the disc.

About Disc Terms
Title
Generally, pictures or music compressed on a DVD are divided into several sections that is “TITLE”
Chapter
The smaller section unit of picture or music in a DVD under the title, usually one title is comprised of one
or more chapters and each of them is numbered for easy searching. But some discs may not have a
recording chapter.
Track
A segment of picture or music on a SVCD VCD or CD. Each track is numbered for searching
Scene
VCD with playback control function, on which active and stillness picture divided into certain portion is
called scene, and every scene will be showed on screen menu with a scene number, that can be easily
found while on playing. A scene usually is formed with one or several tracks
PBC function ( SVCD,VCD)
If a SVCD or a VCD is played a content menu may be showed on screen, this is what we Called Play
back control “ viz. PBC function.

Besides VCD picture playing on screen menu can be used for PBC

Connection
Connection to a television with output signal of progressive scanning
Before connection
 Disconnect the AC power supply cord.
 Refer to the television’s instructions
 If your TV set with progressive scanning equipped Y Pb Pr input, you can use for
connecting Y Pb Pr video output of Micro System. Please push SETUP button on the remote
control, enter into MENU, choose VIDEO SETUP PAGE position, and then active P-RGB (P-
YUV) to switch Micro System into a mode of the image with progressive scanning.

Connection to a television
 Set DOWNMIX by menu ANALOG AUDIO SETUP PAGE in the position LT/RT, STEREO, 3D
SURROUND.
 You will be able to connect Micro System to the TV set with S-Video and SCART cables if your
TV set equipped with S-Video and SCART outputs.
 You will be able to connect Micro System to the TV set with Composite video cable if your TV set
equipped with Composite output. (RGB output by SCART and Y Cb CR output cannot be used at
the same time).
 If AV Output of Micro System connected to TV set, then connect MIXED AUDIO OUT with TV
AUDIO IN

Audio connection system
Two types of audio output systems: analog audio and digital audio. The analogue audio is 2 channel, the
digital audio is outputted from the coaxial, and sound quality is much better than the analogue audio.
Digital audio includes coaxial output.
2 CH output
Use a pair of audio cable (red for right/white for left) to connect the audio input of the TV or AV amplifier
to the audio output of this unit.
Coaxial Digital Audio
Use the special coaxial cable to connect the coaxial output of this unit to the coaxial input of power
amplifier.
Speaker output
Use the specified cable in the accessories to connect this unit to the input of sound boxes.
Note:
 The physical connection should accord to the audio output setup of this unit. Please refer to
Audio Setup in System Setup.
Connection of FM/AM antenna
 If you would like that the device find the radio stations, please press SOURCE SELECT button, to
change into Radio system.
Note: When you connect frame AM antenna please connect sense and ground wires to the necessary cutoff
points into the rear panel.

System Setup
Press SETUP button, screen show setup page. In setup mode, press SETUP key again to quit the
setup page.
Press direction key to the desired item, press ENTER to confirm.
(1)Some setup items are concerning the present modes. The items in gray can't be set up.
(2)The setup is memorized and kept after power off.
General Setup Page
 TV Display
4:3 Panscan: When the unit connects to the normal TV set, the wide-screen image shows on the
full screen, but some part is cut off.
4:3 LetterBox: When the unit connects to the normal TV set, the wide-screen image shows and
black bars appear on the top and bottom of screen.
16:9 Wide Screen, Wide Squeeze: Use this item when the unit is connected with the wide screen
TV set.
 ANGLE MARK
It will show the ANGLE mark when playing DVD disc with multi-angle view if selecting ON
 OSD LANGUAGE
Select on-screen display language
 CLOSED CAPTIONS
This function doesn't work when the disc without caption. If the caption is OFF, press SUBTITLE
key on the remote controller to make caption on. The default setup is CAPTION ON.
 SCREEN SAVER
If the SCREEN SAVER is set ON and the unit is switched on without a disc playing for several
minutes, a moving picture appears on the screen, and the unit will go to standby mode after 20
minutes. You can press STANDBY key on the remote controller to wake it up.
 LAST MEMORY
When this function is on, the unit can memorize the time elapsed from the last time you played the
disc. Then at the next playing, it will resume playing from the memorized time.

Audio Setup Page
ANALOG AUDIO SETUP
 DOWNMIX
LT/RT: The audio out is Left and Right channels format even if the original sound is 5.1CH
format.
STEREO :The audio out format is stereo even if the original sound is 5.1CH format.
DIGITAL AUDIO SETUP
 DIGITAL OUTPUT
SPDIF OFF: no digital signal out (coaxial output off), only analog audio output.
ALL: digital signal output in the original format recorded in the disc.
PCM ONLY: digital signal output in the decoded PCM form.
 LPCM OUTPUT
Select PCM frequency at 48 kHz or 96 kHz
Note: some amplifier don't support 96 kHz sampling and cause coaxial output abnormal.
The initial factory setup is 48 kHz.
DOLBY DIGITAL SETUP
 DUAL MONO
You can choose the following sound modes: STEREO, L-MONO, R-MONO, MIX-MONO.
 DYNAMIC
If watching large dynamic scope movie program at night, to select this mode you can reduce the
volume to a very low level, at the same time, to keep the fine details sounds. In this case, this
doesn't disturb the family and keep the quality sounds.
HDCD
You can select the digital filter Off, 1x, 2x. The initial factory setup is 1x.
KARAOKE SETUP
Turn off or on the microphone input and adjust echo level.

Video Setup
 VIDEO OUTPUT
OFF: Set video output to the composite.
YUV: set video output in analog component video format when connecting to Y/U/V terminals
P-YUV: set progressive YUV signals. Connection same as YUV
RGB: set video output in Red/Green/Blue format when connecting to SCART terminals
P-RGB: progressive RGB signals. Connection same as RGB
VGA: set to this item when connecting to VGA terminals
Notes: If the video setting differs with the physical connection, the TV set may be without picture. In case
of no picture, you can RESET the machine, then keep pressing key [V_MODE] until the picture is OK
again. For the 2CH player, the [V-MODE] has no function.
 COLOR SETTING:
You can set the SHARPNESS, BRIGHTNESS, CONTRAST, GAMMA, HUE,
SATURATION, LUMA DELAY according to your preference.
Preference Setup
 TV TYPE
This unit is suitable for all kinds of TV systems. You can select one of the PAL, MULTI or NTSC.
MULTI: the TV system is auto switched according to the disc system.

NTSC: this system is used in USA, TAIWAN, JAPAN etc.
PAL: this system is used in CHINA, EUROPE, HONGKONG etc.
 PBC
Choose on or of PBC
 AUDIO, SUBTITLE, DISC MENU LANGUAGE SETUP
These are the initial settings by your preference. If a setting is supported by disc content, it will
work. Otherwise the disc default value works. And these settings can be changed respectively by press
key [AUDIO] [SUBTITLE] when playing.
 PARENTAL:
The control level is for parental to control playing content and protect your children from violence
and erotism. The disc, the level of which is higher than the setting level can not be played.
 DEFAULT
Reset to the initial factory setups.
PASSWORD SETUP
Change the password. The initial factory password is 136900. You can set your own password. If
you forget your own password, you can use 136900 as general password.

Play
OPEN/CLOSE
 Press OPEN/CLOSE button when power on, the disc tray is pushed out. Put the disc on the tray
with the title faced up. Press OPEN/CLOSE again to close the disc tray and the unit starts playing
automatically. (Without auto-play function for mp3 and JPEG discs).
STANDBY
 When playing, press STANDBY button, the machine will be power-off and go to standby state;
Press STANDBY again, the machine will be power-on and start playing.
Warning: The power is not fully cut off at standby state. If the machine will not be used for a long
time, turn off the power by pressing the POWER button on the front panel.
SOURCE SELECT
 A/V Source switch among DVD/TUNER (AM/FM).
TITLE / AM/FM
 When playing DVD disc, press TITLE/AM/FM button to open the title list (for some players – to
open the title menu).
 In Radio mode press TITLE/AM/FM button to choose band – AM or FM.
V-MODE (or SWITCH)
 Press V-MODE (or SWITCH) button to switch the video output mode (YUV-RGB-VGA, etc.)
AUDIO / MEMORY
 When playing DVD with more than one audio language, press AUDIO/MEMORY to select you
desired audio language.
 In Radio receiving mode use this button to save the current station into the player memory.
SUBTITLE / AUTO
 When playing the disc with multi-subtitle function, press SUBTITLE/AUTO to select the subtitle
language.
 In Radio receiving mode use this button to auto adjust and save all stations with strong signal.
ANGLE
 When playing the disc with multi-angle, it's convenient to change the view angle.
MENU / MO/ST
When playing DVD disc, press MENU / MO/ST once open to the disc menu.
 When playing SVCD, VCD2.0 disc, press MENU / MO/ST button, the display will show the disc
menu.
After loading the disc, the unit will enter PBC ON play automatically. Press this button, the TV
screen shows PBC OFF. In this mode, the menu will not appear, press digit key to select the track
directly. VCD1.1, CDDA and MP3 have no PBC menu.
In Radio receiving mode use this button to select the Mono or Stereo mode.
RADIO +/-
 In Radio receiving mode use these buttons for manual adjustment of stations with strong signal.
SEARCH +/-
 Press SEARCH +/- buttons to select title time, chapter time, and track time to play. You can use
digit keys input the desired time.

 When playing VCD 1.1, CD disc, after loading the disc, use the digit key to select the desired
track or chapter directly. Press 10+ key and then another digit key to select the track which
number is 10 or more than 10.
You can press digit keys at PROGRAM and MENU selection.
STOP
 When playing DVD, VCD, SVCD, CD disc, press STOP once, the unit will memorize the
previous ending point. Press PLAY button to go on the play. Press STOP for the second time to
stop the play and end memory.
PLAY/PAUSE
 When playing the disc, press PLAY/PAUSE once to pause, press PLAY/PAUSE again to return
to normal play.
STEP
 When playing DVD, SVCD, VCD disc, press STEP once, the picture changes to next frame.
Press PLAY to resume normal play.
F.FWD/REW SEARCH
 Press this button for quick forward search
 Press this button for quick rewind search
PREV/NEXT
 When playing DVD disc, press PREV to the previous chapter.
 When playing SVCD, VCD, CD disc, press PREV to the previous track.
 When playing DVD disc, press NEXT to the next chapter.
 When playing SVCD, VCD, CD disc, press NEXT to the next track.
PROGRAM
 If the disc is with 2 or more tracks, chapters or titles, set up the playing order as your preference.
Press this button to enter program menu.
 Press digit key to input the number of the track, title or chapter. If the programmed tracks are over
ten, press NEXT to go on programming. (Maximum 20 programmable items) use the
up/down/left/right key to move the cursor to the START. Press ENTER to start PROGRAM play.
 When playing MP3 disc, NO program function!
REPEAT
 Press REPEAT button to repeat a title, chapter, track or the whole disc.
 When playing DVD disc, press REPEAT button continually, the TV screen shows chapter repeat,
title repeat, all repeat, repeat cancel in turn
 When playing SVCD, VCD, CD disc, the turn is track repeat, all repeat, repeat cancel.
 When playing MP3 disc, the turn is single repeat, directory repeat, repeat cancel.

A - B
 When playing DVD, SVCD, VCD, CD disc, press A-B button to repeat a certain contents.
 Press A-B key on the start point (A) and the ending point (B) to select the repeat part.
 Press A-B the third time, cancel A-B repeat and return to normal play
ZOOM
 When playing DVD, SVCD, VCD disc, press ZOOM to zoom in or zoom out the picture.
 In zoom in mode, press up/down/left/right to move the picture for viewing. The picture cannot be
moved in zoom out mode.
S.EFFECT
 Press S.EFFECT (or SURR) button to change the surround sound effect.
VOLUME
 Press VOLUME + to adjust volume up
 Press VOLUME- to adjust volume down
Note: Before turning off ensure that volume level is more than 10otherwise after turning on the
volume level will be high.
MUTE
 Press MUTE button, no sound will give out and the mute symbol will display on the TV screen.
Press MUTE again, MUTE OFF will display and the sound will resume.
OSD
 Press the OSD button, the relative information of the disc will display on the TV screen.
Note: A few buttons is not necessary for some types of machine. The normal operation will not be
affected without them!
SETUP
 Press the SETUP button, the relative information of the disc will display on the TV screen.
Note: A few buttons is not necessary for some types of machine. The normal operation will not be
affected without them!
CH-LEVEL
 Press this key to select a channel then press VOLUME+/- to adjust its level.
PBC
 There are 2 optional output modes: ON/OFF. If the PBC is set on, when playing VCD,
return to the main menu. If the PBC is set off, when playing VCD, return to the main sequence.
TONE
 Press TONE, then press VOLUME +/- to control bass and treble.
GOTO
 Press GOTO to select title time, chapter time, track time to play. You can use digit keys
input the goto time.
USB
 Insert the USB device into the slot on the front panel Press USB to play content of USB
device.
