Mounting instruction for Capacity transmitter on Stal R5MKI compressor
To mount the capacity transmitter, the capacity slide system needs to be opened. Relieve the
pressure of the compressor according to the safety guides and remove the cover from the ca-
pacity piston.
Take out the auxiliary piston on the capacity slide. Mount the
alu-tube (See page 2, picture 1) in the thread of the capacity
piston and tighten it. Use Locktite 243 on the thread to secure
the mounting of the alu-tube.

Place the piston and cylinder in the compressor again. Replace
the sealing ring (See page 2, picture 2). Note that the open
side of the sealing ring must be facing outwards as shown in
Fig. 1 and Fig. 2. If necessary also replace the O-ring between
the cylinder and the compressor housing (see picture 7).
CHECK that the alu-tube is situated in the middle of the cyl-
inder. Fig. 2
Mount the new cover (See page 2, picture 3) and gasket (See
picture 4) and tighten the 4 screws lightly. CHECK that the alu-
tube is situated in the middle of the hole in the cover. If
necessary, move the cover a little to centre the alu-tube in the
hole before tightening the screws. Fig. 3
Mount the transmitter pocket (See page 2, picture 5) with the
delivered dowty ring (See picture 6). For calibration of capaci-
ty transmitter: See page 3; specification sheet of capacity
transmitter.
