! WARNING
Failure to monitor the condition of all parts and take corrective action as necessary may lead to failure during use, resulting
in personal injury or property damage.
Check all output string bolts along the drive train periodically to ensure they remain tight. Loose or damaged bolts may fail
at, or below the anchor’s torque rating or contribute to damage elsewhere in the output string. Check all parts periodically for
wear or damage and replace as necessary with original equipment. Replacement bolts must be the same grade and length as
the originals.
These instructions are intended to illustrate the use of these installing tools. Anchor installing tools covered in this instruction sheet
should be used by competent personnel familiar with and following good work and safety practices. Should additional information and
details be desired, or if specific situations arise which are not covered adequately for the user’s purpose, the specifics should be referred
to Chance. In some cases, Chance may make specific recommendations concerning installation torque and installed depth limits for
specific applications.
Attach the Kelly Bar Adapter to the Installing Tool using six 1/2-inch diameter grade 5 bolts provided. The axis of the kelly bar (output
shaft) should be concentric with the axis of the foundation before tightening the foundation drive bolts. Tighten drive bolts and follow
proper installation procedures furnished with the product. When a Kelly Bar Adapter with a threaded bolt circle is being used, Bolt Circle
Adapter C303-0115 must be mounted between either the Universal Installing Tool or Decorative Lighting Foundation Installing Tool and
the Kelly Bar Adapter. The T303-0247 drive plate attaches to Chance Decorative Lighting Foundations by using the 3/4-inch diameter
grade 5 bolts furnished with the foundation. The C303-0139 Universal Installing Tool is used to install Chance Streetlight Foundations
and Telephone Booth Foundation Anchors. C303-0139 attaches to the foundation base using the bolts provided with each foundation.
Be sure to align the tool so the holes in the tool line up with the proper bolt circle on the foundation.
