Domain Membership
Enterprise Edge may be assigned as a member of a Microsoft Domain.
Note: You cannot use Unified Manager to create a domain user. To create a domain user for the Enterprise Edge,
you must use Server Manager of the Microsoft Domain Controller. Also, you must create the domain user
before assigning Enterprise Edge to a domain.
When the Microsoft Domain Controller resides on the same subnet as one of the LAN interfaces of Enterprise
Edge (no routing is required for the Enterprise Edge to access the Domain Controller), there are no special issues
when assigning Enterprise Edge to a Microsoft Domain.
If you must route Enterprise Edge to access the Domain Controller (the Microsoft Domain Controller resides on
a subnet separate from the LAN interfaces of Enterprise Edge), you need to address two issues:
• When you are adding Enterprise Edge to a Microsoft domain, you must enter the WINS server addresses in
the TCP Protocol section of the Network Control Panel so Enterprise Edge can locate the Microsoft Domain
Controller. You cannot use Unified Manager to enter the WINS server addresses. You must access the
Windows NT Desktop using the VNC utility to enter these addresses.
• After you assign Enterprise Edge to a Microsoft domain, Enterprise Edge must be able to locate the Microsoft
Domain Controller before to starting the routing feature. This requires that you enter the IP address of the
appropriate router into the Next Hop To NT Domain Controller For TAPI box. Information about the Next
Hop To NT Domain Controller For TAPI box is on page 42.
Gateway Services for Netware
Gateway Services for Netware is required to allow a Netware client to log on to a Netware server that resides on
a different subnet from the Netware client. Enterprise Edge has this service installed: however, this service is
disabled by default. You cannot enable this service using Unified Manager. You must enable the Gateway
Services for Netware by accessing the Windows NT Desktop using the VNC utility.
Note: You cannot configure Enterprise Edge to use Gateway Services for Netware if Enterprise Edge is
configured to act as a TAPI server within a Microsoft domain.

To use the Delay Answer feature for a Target Line, you must perform both of the following procedures:
• Assign the Control DN of the Queue as the Prime Set for the Target Line.
Refer to Trunk/line data on page 111 of the Enterprise Edge 2.0 Programming Operations Guide for
information about how to assign the Prime Set.
• Assign the physical line that is mapped to the Target Line to be answered by Call Center.
Note: The maximum number of lines you can assign to an ACD Queue is 48.
The number of VoIP lines per target line is 14.
The number of PRI lines per target line is 23.
