CONTROL PANEL
1. ON (Stand by)/OFF extraction/Reset filter saturation indicator button:
- ON (Stand by) - the display shows a lighted dot only.
- OFF - the display is OFF: all controls, except for the light button, are disabled.
Reset filter saturation indicator. Press and hold for at least 3 seconds, an acoustic signal will sound.
2. Light ON/OFF button.
3. Manual/automatic (sensor) mode switch:
In the automatic mode (Indicator light -8- turned on) the hood will function (extractor operation)
depending on the environmental conditions detected by the sensors installed onboard.
Warning! The hood is supplied with an automatic calibration system that defines normal
environmental conditions.
In the event of abnormal operation, the calibration can be carried out manually:
Manual calibration
Perform manual calibration in the following cases:
- When the hood is installed for the first time.
- When the power supply has been shut off for several hours or days (e.g. after prolonged holidays)
- When sudden temperature and/or humidity changes take place in the kitchen
Before performing calibration, make sure that the burners are off, that room temperature is normal
and that there is not a large amount of steam.
- press button 1 and switch OFF the hood (display OFF)
- simultaneously press and hold. buttons 5 and 6 for approx. 3 sec. - an acoustic signal will indicate that
calibration is completed.
Sensor test
When operating in automatic mode, the appliance continually monitors sensor performance. In case
of failure, a blinking “8” will appear on the display, which means that the sensor connector is
disconnected or that one of the sensors is broken. Please contact the After Sales Service.
In this case the hood can be used in manual mode.
Automatic activation SAFETY system: if the sensors detect an excessive temperature rise,
even if the hood is in manual mode, the system selects automatic operation and the extraction
motor starts operating, the hood can be switched off by pressing button 1.
4. Timed intensive speed button: The hood operates at this speed for 5 minutes and then returns to the
previous settings.
The display will show P and a blinking dot.
This function can be cancelled by pressing button 1.
5. Extraction speed decrease button.
6. Extraction speed increase button.
7. Display: shows the selected extraction speed, grease filter (F) or carbon filter (C) saturation,
automatic operation (led rotation), and Stand by mode (lighted dot).
8. Automatic operation indicator light.
Warning! The carbon filter saturation indicator is normally deactivated (for extractor version – see
attached instructions manual). In order to activate it (for filter operation - see attached instructions manual),
simultaneously press buttons 5 and 6 until C appears on the display. To deactivate the carbon filter
saturation indicator, simultaneously press AND HOLD buttons 5 and 6: letter F will appear on the display,

Cleaning the grease filter - Fig. 1
Wash the grease filter at least once a month, or
whenever the display shows the letter F.
1. Disconnect the electrical power supply.
2. Remove the grease filters: push the handles back
(a), and then downwards (b).
3. After cleaning the grease filter refit in reverse
order, making sure the entire extraction surface
is covered.
Replacing bulbs - Fig. 2
1. Disconnect the electrical power supply.
2. Open the lighting unit by pressing at the
reference(c), then turning it outwards.
3. Remove the burnt-out bulb.
Use 20W max halogen bulbs only, making sure
not to touch them with your hands.
4. Close the lighting unit (snap-close).
Carbon filter Fitting and
Maintenance
1. Disconnect the electrical power supply.
2. Remove the grease filters (a,b - Fig. 1).
3. Turn the side knobs 90° and then remove the
filter holder (g - Fig. 3).
4. Fit the carbon filter (h - Fig. 3) in the filter
holder (i - Fig. 3)
5. Refit the filter holder and secure it to the hood
by turning the side knobs 90° (g - Fig. 3).
6. Refit the grease filters.
Carbon filter maintenance:
Unlike traditional carbon filters, this carbon filter
can be washed and reactivated.
With normal hood use, the filter should be cleaned
once a month. The best way to clean the filter is in a
dishwasher at the highest temperature possible,
using a normal dishwasher detergent. To avoid
particles of food or dirt settling on the filter during
washing and giving rise to unpleasant smells, it is
advisable to wash the filter on its own. After
washing, dry the filter in the oven at 100°C for 10
minutes to reactivate it.
The filter will retain its odour-absorbing capacity for
three years, after which it will have to be replaced.
