Kasia Switch (Single Pole) Installation Guide
The Kasia Switch (Single Pole) is a smart switch for your home’s single pole
switch. Together with the Kasia Hub, Kasia App, and all Kasia devices (switches, plugs,
dimmers, and sensors), the Kasia system provides you with the capability to control
your home’s electrical devices remotely from anywhere in the world.

WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS
Kasia Switch is intended to be used as an indoor home switch; it should never be
used for medical and/or life support equipment.
Exercise extreme caution when using Kasia Devices to control appliances. Operation
of Kasia Devices may be in a different room than the controlled appliance and
unintentional activation may occur if the wrong button on a remote or app is
pressed and/or by automatic programmed control. Depending upon the appliance,
these unattended or unintentional operations could possibly result in hazardous
conditions. For these reasons we recommend you do not use Kasia devices to
control any appliances which may present a hazardous condition due to being
unattended.
If you are unsure or uncomfortable about performing the installation, please
consult a qualified electrician.

Overview & Operation
1. Reset Pinhole
Insert a small pin (e.g. paper clip) and press
to restart Kasia Switch
2. Toggle Switch
Press to toggle the switch on or off
manually
Press and hold for 5 seconds to set the
switch to paring mode
Press and hold for 10 seconds to reset the
switch to factory default settings
3. LED
Green and Orange Flashing alternatively
=> In paring mode
Green and Orange Steady on => Power is off and switch is not paired
Green Steady on => Power is off and switch is connected to the Kasia Hub
Orange Steady on => Power is off and switch has lost connection to the Kasia
Hub
No LED light off => Power is on
Installation
WARNING
To avoid fire, shock, or death, turn off the power at the electrical service panel before
you install this device.
Before installing the Kasia Switch to your electrical line, you must meet the electrical
requirements below:
A. A Neutral wire (usually white) is required
B. The switch box must be two (2) inches deep
C. Light bulbs within electrical line should not exceed 1200W
If you have met the electrical requirements, proceed with the electrical installation
instructions below.
Step 1:
Turn off power to your switch at the electrical service panel

Step 2:
Procedure to install Kasia Switch to a single pole switch (1 switch):
Step 2.1:
Follow the steps below to inspect the receptacle in the switch box
Remove the receptacles cover & the mounting screws.
Inspect and identify Ground, Neutral, Live, and Load wires in the receptacle:
1 Load always present and is required (black wire)
1 Ground not always present and recommended (green wire)
1 Live always present and is required (red or black wire)
1 Neutral not always present but is required (white wire). The Neutral wire is
usually present in a screw-on connector.
IMPORTANT:
If the Neutral wire is not present, then stop and contact support.
Step 2.2:
Disconnect the wires from the receptacle and remove it
Step 2.3:
Install the Kasia Switch
Kasia Switch has four wires: 1 black, 1 red, 1 white, and 1 green.
Please connect the wires between Kasia Switch using the screw-on connectors
(see below)
Black wire to Load wire
Green wire to Ground wire if present

Red wire to Live wire
White wire to Neutral wire
Mount Kasia Switch into the switch box carefully.
Screw on the screws.
Attach the switch’s plate cover.
IMPORTANT:
The incorrect wires connection will result in switch not working.
Step 3:
Turn power on to your Kasia Switch at the electrical service panel.
Step 4:
Test the Kasia Switch by pressing the toggle switch to turn the switch on and off
Note:
The orange and green status LED should be on when the switch is off, and should
be off when the switch is on.
The installation is now complete; you can pair the Kasia Switch to your Kasia Hub,
and control it using the Kasia App.

Pairing the Kasia Switch to the Kasia Hub
Download and install the latest Kasia App to your mobile device, and refer to the
walkthrough instructions in the Kasia App to add your Kasia Switch to the Kasia Hub.
The main steps are:
Use the Kasia App, set the Kasia Hub into pairing mode.
Press and hold Kasia Switchs toggle switch for 5 seconds to set it to paring mode.
The pairing process between the Kasia Hub and Kasia Switch will now take place.
The Kasia App will show the Kasia Switch as added.
Control the Kasia Switch using Kasia App via the Kasia Hub.

interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates uses and can radiate radio frequency
energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to
radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular
installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can
be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the
