SECTION 3: ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Tools Needed: 5/16” wrench & 3/16” Allen wrench
STEP 1
Assemble 8” connecng tube (item 5) with Ladder sleeve –le side & Ladder sleeve—right side (Item 1 &
2) as shown in gure 1.
Align 8” connecng tube (item 5) holes with Ladder sleeve (Items 1 & 2) holes and insert 1/4” hex screw
(Item 7) and secure by ghtening 1/4” Nylon nut (Item 8).

SECTION 3: ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 3
Aach formed handrail (Item 4) with handrail extension (item 3) for both right & le ladder sleeves.
Align formed handrail (Item 4) holes with handrail extension (item 3) holes. Secure both formed hand-
rail with clevis pin in hole closest to ladder foot. Precise adjustment will be calibrated in step 5.
STEP 2
Aach formed handrail (Item 4) with 8” connecng tube (item 5) for both right & le ladder sleeves.
Align formed handrail (Item 4) holes with 8” connecng tube (item 5) holes such that the formed hand-
rail orients itself as shown in the gure 2. Secure both formed handrails with clevis pin (Item 9).

STEP 4
Aach Right and Le Ladder sleeve assemblys on the top end of ladder. Formed handrail needs to face
the structure or building such that the rubber pad on ladder sleeves can rest as a contact point.
Slide right and le ladder sleeve assembly's unl spring ladder hook is fastened behind the top ladder
rung as shown in gure 4.
Tighten thumb screws (Item 10) to secure Bighorn Stabilizer to ladder in the order as labeled in gure 4
for both right and le assemblys. Thumb screws will contact inside plate as shown in the secon view
for thumbscrews 2 and 3 only. Thumbscrew no. 1 will contact the ladder directly (Do NOT over ghten).
Ladder Sleeve Caps (Item 6) can be removed should your ladder have factory molded end caps installed.

Finger ghten thumb screws only.
Over ghtening may result in damage to ladder.

SECTION 4: SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Adhere to OSHA recommended standard 4:1 rao 1910.23 for all ladder use.
The base of the ladder should extend 1 foot for every 4 feet of height between the working surface
and the point of contact as shown in gure 5 . When done correctly, the ladder will meet the ground
at a 75-degree angle.
An extension or straight ladder used to access an elevated surface must extend at least 3 feet above
the point of support as shown in gure 5 & 6. A ladder extended to a height of 48 feet or longer re-
quires a 6 foot extension beyond the eave.

SECTION 5: LADDER BRIDGE USAGE
STEP 5
With Ladder Bridge assembly complete and mounted on ladder, Place ladder against structure or building
such that rubber padding on sleeve assemblys are facing the structure or building as shown in gure 7.
Aer ladder is securely posioned, climb to top of ladder to place guer hooks inside guer and adjust
foot adjustment tube (item 8) to plaorm of roof as shown in gure 7 below. MUST make ght contact to
the roof as to apply downward pressure. Insert clevis pins in appropriate hole.
For new construcon/bare roof screw foot to bare roof using screw for a more permanent mount.
Enjoy a safe and secure transion to the roof!

SECTION 5: LADDER BRIDGE USAGE
STEP 6
Storage and Travel
Ladder Bridge assemblies can be removed from ladder for storage or travel.
Ladder bridge assemblies can be kept on ladder and folded in for travel and storage as shown in gure 8.

Warranty
BIGHORN STABILIZER warrants the product to be free of defects in materials and work-
manship for a period of one full year from the date of purchase by the original purchaser.
This limited warranty is valid with the completion of the warranty registration card (included in
the packaging) and is returned to BIGHORN STABILIZER by mail or online
at www.bighornstailizer.com within 30 days from the date of purchase.
During the warranty period, BIGHORN STABILIZER reserves the right at its own discretion to
repair or replace defective parts using new or refurbished parts.
This limited warranty is valid only with the original purchaser and is not transferable.
This limited warranty does not cover any problem that is caused by conditions, malfunctions or
damage not resulting from defects in materials and workmanship.
BIGHORN STABILIZER will not have any liabilities for incidental or consequential dam-
ages caused by the misuse or mishandling of the product.
To obtain warranty service, you must first contact us to determine the problem and the most ap-
propriate solution for you. Your purchase receipt will be required for warranty service.
Return Policy
RETURNS
The original purchaser has 30 days to return an item from the date it was received.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you re-
ceived it and in the original packaging.
Your items, original receipt, or proof of purchase along with a brief written explanation of
why the product is being returned will be required.
Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you on the status of the refund.
If your item is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of
payment).

SECCIÓN 3: INSTRUCCIONES DE MONTAJE
Herramientas necesarias: llave de 5/16" y llave Allen de 3/16"
PASO 1
Ensamble el tubo de conexión de 8 ”(arculo 5) con el manguito de la escalera - lado izquierdo y el
manguito de la escalera - lado derecho (Arculo 1 y 2) como se muestra en la gura 1.
Alinee los oricios del tubo de conexión de 8 ”(elemento 5) con los oricios de la manga de la escalera
(elementos 1 y 2) e inserte el tornillo hexagonal de 1/4” (elemento 7) y asegúrelo apretando la tuerca
de nailon de 1/4 ”(elemento 8).

PASO 3
Fije el pasamanos formado (arculo 4) con la extensión del pasamanos (arculo 3) para las mangas de la
escalera derecha e izquierda.
Alinee los oricios formados del pasamanos (elemento 4) con los oricios de la extensión del pasa-
manos (elemento 3). Asegure ambos pasamanos formados con un pasador de horquilla en el oricio
más cercano al pie de la escalera. El ajuste preciso se calibrará en el paso 5.
PASO 2
Fije el pasamanos formado (arculo 4) con un tubo de conexión de 8 ”(arculo 5) para las mangas de la
escalera derecha e izquierda.
Alinee los oricios del pasamanos formado (arculo 4) con los oricios del tubo de conexión de
8”(arculo 5) de manera que el pasamanos formado se oriente como se muestra en la gura 2. Asegure
ambos pasamanos formados con un pasador de horquilla (arculo 9).

PASO 4
Coloque el ensamblaje de la manga de la escalera derecha e izquierda en el extremo superior de la
escalera. El pasamanos formado debe estar orientado hacia la estructura o el edicio de manera que la
almohadilla de goma de las mangas de la escalera pueda descansar como un punto de contacto.
Deslice el ensamblaje de la manga de la escalera derecha e izquierda hasta que el gancho de la escalera
de resorte esté sujeto detrás del peldaño superior de la escalera como se muestra en la gura 4.
Apriete los tornillos de mariposa (arculo 10) para asegurar el estabilizador Bighorn a la escalera en el
orden que se indica en la gura 4 para los conjuntos derecho e izquierdo. Los tornillos de mariposa en-
trarán en contacto con la placa interior como se muestra en la vista en sección para los tornillos de mar-
iposa 2 y 3 únicamente. Tornillo de mariposa no. 1 entrará en contacto con la escalera directamente
(NO apriete demasiado).
Las tapas de la manga de la escalera (arculo 6) se pueden quitar si su escalera ene tapas de extremo
moldeadas de fábrica instaladas.
SECCIÓN 3: INSTRUCCIONES DE MONTAJE
Apriete los tornillos de mariposa con los dedos
únicamente. Apretar demasiado puede dañar la
escalera.

SECCIÓN 4: INSTRUCCIONES DE SEGURIDAD
Adhiérase a la proporción estándar 4: 1 recomendada por OSHA 1910.23 para todo uso de escaleras.
La base de la escalera debe extenderse 1 pie por cada 4 pies de altura entre la supercie de trabajo
y el punto de contacto como se muestra en la gura 5. Cuando se hace correctamente, la escalera se
encontrará con el suelo en un ángulo de 75 grados.
Una extensión o escalera recta ulizada para acceder a una supercie elevada debe extenderse al
menos 3 pies por encima del punto de apoyo como se muestra en las guras 5 y 6. Una escalera ex-
tendida a una altura de 48 pies o más requiere una extensión de 6 pies más allá del alero.
