STEM HUNG MOUNTING

1) Pass xture wire from the coupling on top of main body[M] through desired

number of stems[A] and short threaded tube[B]. Screw stems together using

supplied short threaded tubes.

NOTE: Thread locking compound must be applied to all stem threads as

noted with symbol (4) to prevent accidental rotaon of xture during

cleaning, relamping, etc.

2) Screw connected stems into coupling on top of main body.

3) Pass xture wires from last stem through swivel[H]. Swivel should be

installed with the longer end hanging down towards the mounng stems.

4) Screw longer end of swivel into end of last stem. Note direcon of swivel in

accordance with ceiling. If swivel is not already installed, follow notes 5, 6 &

5) Pass xture wire through hole in canopy[D]. Insert threaded tube on end of

swivel into hole in center of canopy.

6) Pass xture wire through lock washer[C]. Slip lock washer onto end of

threaded tube protruding from inside canopy.

7) Pass xture wire through hexnut[J]. Screw hexnut onto end of threaded tube

protruding from inside canopy.

NOTE: Fixture wire should not be cut shorter than 20 inches from above the

canopy.

8) Find the appropriate threaded holes on mounng strap[G]. Assemble

mounng screws[I] into threaded holes.

9) Aach mounng strap to outlet box[F] using the strap mounng screws[E].

The mounng strap can be adjusted to suit posion of xture.

10) Grounding instrucons: (See Illus. a or b).

a) On xtures where mounng strap is provided with a hole and two raised

dimples, wrap ground wire from outlet box around green ground screw,

and thread into hole.

b) On xtures where a cupped washer is provided,aach ground wire from

outlet box under cupped washer and green ground screw, then thread

into mounng strap.

If xture is provided with ground wire, connect xture ground wire to outlet

box ground wire with wire connector aer following the above steps. Never

connect ground wire to black or white power supply wires.

11) Make wire connecon. Reference chart below for correct connecons and

wire accordingly.

wire is square shaped or ridged

12) Push xture to ceiling, carefully passing mounng screws through holes in

canopy[D].

NOTE: Be certain wires do not get pinched between canopy and ceiling.

13) Use knobs[K] and lock washers[L] to secure canopy. Tighten to secure.

14) Lower shade[O] down onto socket. Secure shade to socket by screwing

socket ring[N] onto threads on outside of socket. Repeat for remaining two

(2) shades.

15) Install the recommended bulbs. (Not supplied).

starng and during the installaon.

Code (NEC) and all local code specicaons. If you are not familiar with code

requirements, installaon by a cered electrician is recommended.

• Always be certain that electric current is turned o before cleaning.

• Only a so damp cloth should be used. Harsh cleaning products may damage

the nish.

SEMI-FLUSH MOUNTING

1) Remove coupling from top of main body[M].

2) Pass xture wires from main body through short stem[P] and short threaded

tube[B].

3) Screw short stem onto exposed threads on top of main body.

4) Insert short threaded tube at end of short stem through hole in center of

canopy[D].

5) Pass xture wire through lock washer[C]. Slip lock washer onto end of

threaded tube protruding from inside canopy.

6) Pass xture wire through hexnut[J]. Screw hexnut onto end of threaded tube

protruding from inside canopy.

NOTE: Fixture wire should not be cut shorter than 20 inches from above the

canopy.

7) Follow Steps 8-15 from Rigid Stem Mounng Instrucons.
