Voltage Selection and Backup Instructions
Molex Cable Location
The QAA-5160 Amplifier may operate as a 70V or 25V amplifier. THE DEFAULT VOLTAGE IS 70V. To change the
amplifier to 25V, remove the orange molex cable (labelled MD-790) between J8 and J9 and replace it with the blue molex
cable (labelled MD-791) provided with the amplifier, connecting J8 and J9. Refer to Figure 1 below for molex cable
location.

Backup Amplifier
The QAA-5160 Amplifier may be used as a backup amplifier. One backup is required per system or node.
To use this amplifier as a backup, the molex connector MD-789 packaged with the amplifier, must be
placed over the pins of J10 as shown in figure below.
