Safety Warnings
Read all the instructions carefully before using
the unit and keep them for future reference.
Retain the manual. If you pass the unit onto a
third party make sure to include this manual.
Check that the voltage marked on the rating
label matches your mains voltage.
The rating label is located at the bottom of
the unit.
Damage
Please inspect the unit for damage after
unpacking.
Do not continue to operate the unit if you
are in any doubt about it working normally,
or if it is damaged in any way - switch off,
withdraw the mains adapter and consult
your dealer.
Location of Unit
The unit must be placed on a at stable
surface and should not be subjected to
vibrations.
Do not place the unit on sloped or unstable
surfaces as the unit may fall o or tip over.
The mains socket must be located near the
unit and should be easily accessible.
The mains adapter should not be obstructed
and should be able to be easily accessed
during use.
This unit is designed for indoor use only.
Temperature
Avoid extreme degrees of temperature, either
hot or cold. Place the unit well away from heat
sources such as radiators or gas/electric res.
Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and other
sources of heat.
Naked Flames
Never place any type of candle or naked ame
on the top of or near the unit.
Moisture
To reduce the risk of re, electric shock or
product damage, do not expose this unit or
the mains adapter to rain, moisture, dripping
or splashing. No objects lled with liquids,
such as vases, should be placed on the unit.
If you spill any liquid into the unit, it can cause
serious damage. Switch it o at the mains
immediately. Withdraw the mains adapter and
consult your dealer.
Ventilation
To prevent the risk of electric shock or re
hazard due to overheating, ensure that
curtains and other materials do not obstruct
the ventilation vents.
A minimum distance of 5cm around the unit
should be maintained to allow for sucient
ventilation.
Do not install or place this unit in a bookcase,
built-in cabinet or in another conned space.
Ensure the unit is well ventilated.
Safety
Always disconnect the unit from the mains
supply before connecting/disconnecting
other devices or moving the unit.
Unplug the unit from the mains socket during
a lightning storm.
In the interests of safety and to avoid
unnecessary energy consumption, never leave
the unit switched on while unattended for
long periods of time, e.g. while on holiday.
Switch it o and disconnect the mains plug
from the mains socket.
Interference
Do not place the unit on or near appliances
which may cause electromagnetic
interference. If you do, it may adversely aect
the operating performance of the unit, and
cause a distorted sound.
Batteries
Batteries used in the unit are easily swallowed
by young children and this is dangerous.
Keep loose batteries away from young
children and make sure that the battery
holder tray is secure in the unit. Seek
medical advice if you believe a cell has been
swallowed.
Please dispose of batteries correctly by
following the guidance in this manual.
Do not expose the battery to direct sunlight or
sources of excessive heat.
Supervision
Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the unit.
Never let anyone especially children push
anything into the holes, slots or any other
openings in the case - this could result in a
fatal electric shock.

Service
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not
remove screws. The unit does not contain
any user-serviceable parts. Please leave all
maintenance work to qualied personnel.
Do not open any xed covers as this may
expose dangerous voltages.
Maintenance
Ensure to unplug the unit from the power
supply before cleaning.
Do not use any type of abrasive pad or
abrasive cleaning solutions as these may
damage the unit’s surface.
Do not use liquids to clean the unit.

1. Connect the mains plug to the mains socket and switch on at the socket. The display will
start to ash.
Check that the voltage marked on the rating label matches your mains voltage.
Install the unit near a mains socket where the mains adapter can be easily reached.

Memory Backup
This unit incorporates a battery back up circuit that will keep the clock running, alarms set
and radio stations that are stored in the memory in the event of a temporary
power interruption.
Insert 2 x AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment located at the base of
the unit. Make sure to match the (+) and ( - ) ends of the batteries with the (+) and ( - ) ends
indicated in the battery compartment.
Handling the Batteries
Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery leakage, which
could cause personal injury or damage to property.
Install the battery correctly by following the polarity (+ and -) indications in the battery
compartment.
Use only the types of the batteries which are indicated in this manual.
Do not dispose of the used batteries as domestic waste. Dispose of them in accordance
with local regulations.
Do not expose the battery to direct sunlight or sources of excessive heat.
If you are not going to use the unit for a long time, remove the battery to avoid damage
from battery leakage and corrosion.
You cannot listen to the radio with battery power.
The time will not be displayed when using the back up battery power.

General Operation
Setting the Clock for the First Time
When you rst plug in the clock radio the display will be ashing. When setting the clock for
the rst time the clock will default to a 24 hour clock. Remember you can only change the
time while the display is ashing, so you’ll need to be quick.
1. Press the DIMMER button to brighten the display.
2. Press and hold the CLK/PRESETS button, 24H will ash in the display. Press TUNE +/- to
select 24 hour or 12 hour clock display, then press CLK/PRESETS to conrm.
3. Press the HOUR button to set the hour. Press and hold the button to quickly change
the hours.
4. Press the MINS button to set the minutes. Press and hold the button to quickly change
the minutes.
If the display doesn’t ash when the unit is switched on, press and hold the CLK/PRESETS
button until the display ashes, then follow steps below (Changing the Time).
Changing the Time
If you need to change the time on your clock follow the steps below. Remember you can
only change the time while the display is ashing, so you’ll need to be quick.
1. Press and hold the CLK/PRESETS button until the display ashes.
2. Press the HOUR or MINS button to select if you want to display the time using a 12 hour
or 24 hour clock.
3. Press the CLK/PRESETS button.
4. Press the HOUR button to set the hour. Press and hold the button to quickly change
the hours.
5. Press the MINS button to set the minutes. Press and hold the button to quickly change
the minutes.
Changing the Brightness of the Display
Press the DIMMER button to adjust the brightness level of the display. It has two settings
dim or bright.
Setting the display brightness to the “Bright level will result in a higher power
consumption of the unit.

Setting the Alarm
There are two separate alarms you can set on this clock radio AL1 (Alarm 1) or AL2 (Alarm 2).
Each alarm can be set to wake you up with a buzzer or the radio. The radio must be tuned
to a radio station to work, otherwise it will default to the buzzer. The radio will switch on at
the last volume setting you used.
1. Make sure the unit is in OFF mode.
2. Press the AL1 button to set Alarm 1 or AL2 to set Alarm 2 the display will start to ash.
3. Press the HOUR + or MINS - button to set the time that you want the alarm to switch
on. Press AL1 or AL2 to complete setting the alarm time.
4. Press either AL1 or AL2 depending on which alarm you are setting to toggle between
BUZZER, RADIO and ALARM OFF. If you choose RADIO, ensure that the radio is tuned in.
5. An LED will light up on the display to show which alarm has been set and what type of
alarm has been selected (AL1 or AL2).
Turning the Alarm On/O
If the LED next to BUZZER or RADIO is lit the corresponding alarm has been set and when
it’s not lit the alarm is OFF. Press the AL2 or AL1 button to select the alarm, then keep
pressing the button to scroll through the alarm settings:
Alarm OFF = LED o
Alarm ON = BUZZER LED or RADIO LED on.
Switching the Alarm O Once it Sounds
The alarm will sound (either buzzer or radio) for 60 minutes then automatically switch o,
if no buttons are pressed.
To switch the alarm o when it sounds press the ALM OFF/FUNC button.
Snooze Function
Press the SNOOZE button when the alarm sounds. The alarm will go o and will then
sound again in approximately 9 minutes. You can keep snoozing the alarm until the alarm is
switched o.
The LED next to the alarm setting will ash while in Snooze mode.

Sleep Timer Setting
You can set your clock radio to switch o after a set time with the Sleep function, so if you
are listening to the radio and fall asleep your radio will automatically switch into standby
when the set time has elapsed.
1. When listening to the radio press the SLEEP button, the number 90 will appear in the
display. The radio will now count down and switch o after 90 minutes. If you want to
see the remaining sleep time at any point, briey press the SLEEP button and the time
will be displayed.
2. Continually press the SLEEP button to decrease the sleep timer (90 - 80 -70 - 60 - 50 - 40
- 30 - 20 - 10 - OFF).
3. To switch the sleep time o, press the SLEEP button until the word OFF is displayed.
Listening to the Radio
Your clock radio has AM/FM radio. To receive the best reception fully extend the aerial cable.
1. Press the ALM OFF/FUNC button to select either AM or FM radio.
2. To tune in a radio station press the TUNE + or TUNE - button. If you hold the buttons
down for a second it will automatically nd the next available radio station.
3. To switch o the radio, press and hold down the ALM OFF/FUNC button until OFF
appears on the display.
Adjusting Volume
Press the VOL - button to reduce the volume and the VOL + button to increase the
radio volume.
Saving a Radio Station
You can save 10 AM and 10 FM radio stations in your clock radios memory.
1. Tune to the radio station that you want to save.
2. Press and hold the CLK/PRESETS button, the display will ash. While the display is
ashing press the TUNE +/- to select the preset number that you want to store the radio
station in (1-10).
3. Press the CLK/PRESETS button again and the radio station will be stored.
Selecting a Stored Radio Station
1. First select AM or FM radio by pressing the ALM OFF/FUNC button.
2. Press the CLK/PRESETS button until the preset number is of your required station
appears in the display.
If you have problems receiving good FM radio reception, check that the aerial
cable is fully extended and away from any electrical devices that could cause
interference.
Do not cut the aerial wire.

Using the AUX Function
Using the AUX connection you can connect an external device (e.g. phone or MP3 player)
and use the clock radio has a speaker.
1. Plug your device into the AUX socket.
2. Press the ALM OFF/FUNC button to select AUX.
3. Use either the VOL + or VOL - buttons on the clock radio or the volume controls on
the connected device to increase or decrease the volume. You may need to adjust the
volume on both devices.

Maintenance
Cleaning the Unit
To clean the unit, wipe the case with a slightly moist, lint-free cloth.
Do not use any cleaning uids containing alcohol, ammonia or abrasives.
Do not spray aerosol at or near the unit.
Hints and Tips
Problem Solution
Poor FM reception Make sure the FM aerial wire is fully extended.
Electrical interference in your home can cause poor
reception. Move the unit away from them (especially
those with motors and transformers).
Poor AM reception Rotate the unit horizontally until the orientation with
best reception is found.
Clock does not show the
correct time.
There has been a power cut and you haven’t installed
any batteries, or the batteries are flat.
Insert 2 x AAA batteries into the clock radio, this will
keep the time in the event of a power cut.
Alarm does not come on at
the preset time
Check the current time set correctly, remember this
unit can be set as either a 12 hour or 24 hour clock.
Is the alarm set to the correct time?
Ensure the unit is fully unplugged from the mains socket before cleaning.
