EU Air Handling Unit INSTALLATION
EURZ-02-b Speed detector
Delivery
If the heat exchanger is ordered with speed detector, the
parts shown in Fig. 4 will be fitted at the factory. The
alarm relay shown in Fig. 1 is delivered separately.
EURZ-02-1 Alarm relay
For constant speed only.
1 EURZ-02-01 Alarm relay
2 Operation indication (off when the magnet is
opposite the sensor)
3 Test/run switch
Alarm delay 20 s / 180 s
4 Alarm indication (lit in the event of an alarm)
Fig. 1
1 Alarm relay with operation indicating lamp (green), alarm lamp (red) and
one pair of potential-free change-over contacts. The Contact rating for a
resistive load: 220 V, 5 A. The activation pulse duration: at least 0.02 s.
5 The magnet is included in the EURZ-02-2.
6 Alarm output:
5 – 6 contacts closed
A) When the relay is energised (< 3 min. between pulses).
B) If the logic input is closed.
C) After the power supply has been switched on (3 min.).
5 – 4 contacts closed
A) In the event of an alarm (> 3 min. between pulses)
B) On a loss of power supply
7Auxiliary contacts in the drive motor contactor which interlock the alarm
when the heat exchanger is not in operation.
8Indicating lamp
9EURZ-02-2 Pulse sensor
Electrical installation and operation
(the electrical installation work should be
carried out by an authorised electrician)
Constant speed
An alarm will be initiated if the pulse interval is longer
than 3 min. (even if the magnet has stopped opposite the
pulse sensor).
The alarm will be interlocked if the logic input of the
relay is closed.
The alarm will be automatically reset when the pulse
interval has decreased to less than 3 min.
Example of alarm interlock connection
The alarm is interlocked across the auxiliary contacts of
the drive motor contactor.

Fitting
(Applicable if the speed sensor has been ordered separately)
A. Fit the magnet(s) to rotor. If there are two magnets fit
them 5 mm apart as shown in Fig. 5.
Use a center punch to make a pilot hole in the rotor
structure. For dimension and location, see Fig. 5.
Then secure the magnet(s) by means of glue and the
screw supplied.
B. Fit the pulse sensor to the mounting bracket and then
secure the bracket on the inside of the panel as shown
in Fig. 5.
C. Check that the distance between the sensor and the
magnet(s) is 3–5 mm. Adjust, if necessary.
