Adhere to the maintenance guidelines.

Any modification made to this

cladding may create the risk of

exempt it from the guarantee cover.

The installation of the stove, its

accessories and surrounding materials

must meet all regulations (local and

national) and all standards (national

and European).

Available in wide and narrow versions.

By using a "stone" cladding kit, it is possible to

apply a 2 or 3 cm-thick stone facing (stone facing

not supplied by Stûv).

PREPARATION OF THE AREA

Please refer to your Stûv 30-compact

in installation instructions for details

on dimensions, positioning and

connection of the outside air inlet to

the stove.

The back part of the body of the

cladding has an access to facilitate the

positioning of the outside air inlet duct

[image 1].

Fixing of the stove

When installing cladding (in particular

cladding with a stone panel), ensure

you attach the stove securely to the

ground and wall.

Please consult the installation

instructions for your Stûv 30-compact

in when doing this.

All of the parts are symmetrical. They

have been developed so that they can

be placed on the left as well as on the

right.

These instructions show fitting for a

single side. Apply the same operations

whilst making sure that the second

side is symmetrical.

Insulating the fireplace : pros & cons

Safety

Take the necessary precautions to

prevent excessive heating of the

recess walls and construction materials

close to the stove (e.g. wooden

beams) and insulate these materials

according to industry regulations and

the applicable standards depending on

their flammability.

Leave 38 mm between the front of

the front piece support and the wall

to ensure there is enough space to

install the façade.

* Warning!

For cladding with a 3 cm stone

facing, the distance between the

back of the stove and the wall

should be 55mm instead of 45mm.

Installation of a façade

To install the façade against a wall,

cut flat pieces of metal as shown in

diagrams 2 and 3.

These flat pieces can be numbered

differently, i.e.:

Wide format sheet metal façade: 2

Wide format stone façade: 2P

Narrow format sheet metal façade: 11

Narrow format stone façade: 13

Installation of a façade (continued)

For installation of a facade against a

wall, pierce one or two of the pre-cut

holes in the sheet metal [diagram 9].

The holes will allow you to screw the

structure into the brickwork.

*Except when placing a stone facing.

Installation of a façade (continued)

For a cladding with a 2cm-thick sheet

metal or stone facing, use rectangular

holes [detail 1 on diagrams 13 & 14].

When the facing is 3cm-thick stone,

position the framework so that the

round space and the oblong holes

can be used for fastening [detail 2 on

diagram 14].

Once the bracket is fixed to the stove

and is plumb, screw the bracket onto

the wall.

Use the holes made by removing

the pre-cut parts in the centre of the

bracket [Diagrams 9 & 16].

To install a stone facing, please refer

to the section "Fitting a stone facing"

on p. 30.

When installing the framework onto

the stove [diagram 13], start by

inserting the upper fastening without

screwing it in.

Fix the lower screw.

Tighten the 2 other screws.

If you intend to divert your connecting

flue pipe, ensure the diversion is

positioned at the bottom of the pipe.

Positioning of the extension framework

For the finishing panel, it is possible to

install:

- The metal finish panel supplied by

Stûv (in one of the shades offered).

- A sheet of plasterboard which will

enable you to paint the extension in

the same colour as the walls in the

room.

In this case, the framework element

is used as a fastening bracket for the

plasterboards.

Assembly of the corner extension

To install a corner cladding, the work

must be carried out with the stove

having no front wall support.

Make sure the stove is centred

correctly in the corner [diagram 1].

Position the extension framework

against the ceiling, using the tips as

end-stops [diagram 4]

the corner cladding structure to the

stove (see previous section).
