The Hagerco 294D is a constant-latching flush bolt set that is designed for use with inactive wood covered composite doors. MORTISE THE INACTIVE DOOR USING HAGER TEMPLATE T-TA00173. REFER

TO THIS TEMPLATE DURING THE INSTALLATION PROCESS.
INSTALL BOTH FLUSH BOLT HOUSINGS IN THE DOOR EDGE (DO NOT

INSTALL SCREWS AT THIS TIME.)
ADJUST THE TOP ROD SO THAT THE TOP OF THE BOLT SITS FLUSH WITH THE

TOP OF THE DOOR WHEN IN THE RETRACTED POSITION. ROTATE BOLT SO
THAT THE BEVEL IS FACING THE PUSH SIDE OF THE DOOR. ADJUST THE
BOTTOM ROD SO THAT THE TOP OF THE BOLT SITS FLUSH WITH THE BOTTOM
OF THE DOOR WHEN IN THE RETRACTED POSITION.
SLIDE HEAD GUIDES OVER THE BOLTS AND ATTACH TO THE TOP AND

BOTTOM DOOR EDGES USING #8 COMBO SCREWS.
INSTALL FACEPLATES OVER THE HOUSING BRACKETS AND FASTEN TO THE

DOOR USING (2) 8-32 X 1/2" MACH SCREWS AND (2) #8 COMBO SCREWS.
INSTALL STRIKES.

HANG DOOR.

INSTALL ACTIVE DOOR STRIKE ON ACTIVE DOOR USING CENTERLINE OF

THE FLUSH BOLT CAM AS A GUIDE (
NOTE:
SURFACE MOUNT THE STRIKE
WHEN GAP BETWEEN THE DOORS IS 3/16"[4.7] OR GREATER. STRIKE CAN
STILL BE USED IF GAP IS SMALLER THAN 3/16"[4.7], BUT THE STRIKE WILL
HAVE TO BE MORTISED INTO THE ACTIVE DOOR EDGE.)
NOTE 1:
INSTALL COORDINATOR BEFORE FLUSH BOLTS.
NOTE 2
: BOLTS HAVE A MAX THROW OF 3/4"[19]. FIELD ADJUSTMENTS CAN BE
MADE TO ALLOW THE BOLTS TO EXTEND A GREATER DISTANCE, BUT THE DOOR
MUST BE TAKEN OFF THE HINGES TO MAKE ADJUSTMENTS TO THE BOTTOM FLUSH
BOLT!
NOTE 3:
OPTIONAL DUST PROOF STRIKE 280X MAY BE USED.

THREAD THE RODS INTO THE HOUSINGS THROUGH THE HOLE IN THE

TOP/BOTTOM OF THE DOOR. THE ROD SHOULD ATTACH IN A CLOCK-
WISE MOTION. ADJUST THE TOP ROD SO THAT THE TOP OF THE BOLT
SITS FLUSH WITH THE TOP OF THE DOOR WHEN IN THE RETRACTED
POSITION. ROTATE BOLT SO THAT THE BEVEL IS FACING THE PUSH SIDE
OF THE DOOR. ADJUST THE BOTTOM ROD SO THAT THE TOP OF THE
BOLT SITS FLUSH WITH THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR WHEN IN THE
RETRACTED POSITION.
INSTALL FACE PLATES OVER THE HOUSING BRACKETS AND FASTEN TO

THE DOOR USING (4) #8 COMBO SCREWS.
SLIDE HEAD GUIDES OVER THE BOLTS AND INSTALL TO THE TOP AND

BOTTOM DOOR EDGES USING #8 COMBO SCREWS.
INSTALL STRIKES.

HANG DOOR.

INSTALL ACTIVE DOOR STRIKE ON ACTIVE DOOR USING CENTERLINE

OF THE FLUSH BOLT CAM AS A GUIDE (
NOTE:
NOT RECOMMENDED IF
GAP BETWEEN THE TWO DOORS IS LESS THAN 3/16"[4.7])
NOTE 1:
