Installing Safety Vision Windows
Application
NOTE: Windows OS and Safety Vision Windows application is
pre-installed prior to deployment, but there are some instances
where the end user will want to do this themselves.
If installing Windows OS yourself, Windows OS needs to be
installed on the mSATA drive [internal SSD].
Windows OS needs to be installed prior to installing the SV
Windows Application and any other applications.
To install the SV Windows Application yourself, see steps
below.
Step 1. Connecting to the NVR
There are two methods for connecting to the NVR:
1. Using Keyboard, mouse, and monitor - (preferred
method)
• NVR supports HDMI, VGA, DVI
• Keyboard and mouse – USB
If using this method, connect keyboard, mouse, and monitor
to NVR, then proceed to Step 2. Installing SV Windows
Application.
2. Using your PC and Windows Remote Desktop
Connection Application - Ethernet cable required.
• NVR contains 5 LAN ports, depending on which LAN
port that your PC will be connecting to, you will need
to use the IP address associated with that LAN port.
To the right are the LAN ports IP addresses based off
Safety Vision Windows LAN configuration.
(If using a different LAN configuration, use the IP address
you created for the LAN port that PC is connected to.)
If using this method, you will need to launch Windows
Remote Desktop Connection. After launching Windows
Remote Desktop Connection, enter the IP address of the
LAN port the PC is connected to. If the PC is connected to
a PoE switch, use the IP address of the LAN port that the
switch is connected to.
