Dynomax 39457 is a performance exhaust system designed for 2009-07 Jeep Wrangler (JK) Unlimited 3.8L (4 Door) vehicles. This kit features type 409 stainless steel tubing, type 304SS buffed &
polished tips and a combination of type 304 and 409 stainless steels in the
DynoMax Ultra Flo SS Muffler.
Please remove the protective coating of mylar plastic that is wrapped
around the body of the 17558 muffler.

STANDS IN CONJUNCTION WITH A FLOOR JACK AS MAIN SUPPORT
IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO MINIMIZE ACCIDENTAL DROPPING
OF A VEHICLE DURING THE INSTALLATION PROCESS.
NOTE: Read all instructions before starting any work.
1. Remove the O.E. exhaust from behind the catalytic converters.
Lubricate the rubber isolators with WD-40, or a similar product, to aid
in removal of the metal rod hangers.
2. Install DynoMax front pipe 55387. Insert the rod hangers into the
rubber isolator. Slightly tighten the 2¹⁄₂" band clamp on the inlet end.
3. Install DynoMax rear intermediate pipe 54522. Insert the rod hanger
into the rubber isolator. Slightly tighten the 2¹⁄₂" band clamp at the
connection to 55387.
4. Install DynoMax Ultra Flo Welded muffler 17558 and LH dual tail pipe
52318. Slightly tighten the 2¹⁄₂" clamps that connect the muffler to the
outlet of 54522 and the 52318 tail pipe to the LH outlet of the
17558 muffler. Be sure to insert the metal rod hangers into the rubber
isolators. See the system diagram on the back page of these
instructions.
5. Beginning at the inlet end, align the system components and fully tighten
all the clamps.
