CAR OR LIGHT DUTY TRUCK/VAN “BUMPER” JACKS ARE INTENDED
FOR EMERGENCY USE ONLY. THE USE OF FRAME CONTACT JACK
STANDS IN CONJUNCTION WITH A FLOOR JACK AS MAIN SUPPORT
IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO MINIMIZE ACCIDENTAL DROPPING
OF A VEHICLE DURING THE INSTALLATION PROCESS.
NOTE: Read all instructions before starting any work.
1. Remove the O.E. exhaust from behind the catalytic converters.
Lubricate the rubber isolators with WD-40, or a similar product, to aid
in removal of the metal rod hangers.
2. Install DynoMax front intermediate pipe 53788. Insert the rod hanger
into the rubber isolator. Slightly tighten the 2¹⁄₂" clamp on the inlet end.
3. Install DynoMax rear intermediate pipe 54753. Insert the rod hanger
into the rubber isolator. Slightly tighten the 2¹⁄₂" band clamp on the
connection to 53788.
4. Install DynoMax muffler 17222. The driver side OE rod hanger at
the front of the muffler is not used for this DynoMax system.
5. Install DynoMax tail pipe 51085 and SS tip 36486. Be sure to insert the
metal rod hanger into the rubber isolator. See the system diagram on
the back of these instructions.
6. Beginning at the inlet end, align the system components and fully tighten
all the clamps.
