Foreword
These operating and installation instructions are a supplement to the TR series heater
combined with a warm air curtain. This combination is designated with the letter L in the type
designation, e.g. TR20 L. This installation and user manual for the TR heater is the leading
document for the installation of this appliance.
These operating and installation instructions deal with the specific matters that apply to the
supplementary use and installation of an appliance with a warm air curtain.
Deciding on a location
The appliance must be placed in such a manner that the warm air discharge opening for the
warm air curtain is as close as possible to the plane of the door (100–250 mm) and if possible
level with the top of the door frame. The maximum discharge height is shown in the
appliance’s technical data which must not be exceeded in order to ensure the smooth
operation of the warm air curtain. Refer to drawing.
The appliance is fitted with a mounting rail on the upper side. The appliance can be mounted
to the ceiling with studding or to the wall with a mounting harness, article no. GA8580.
The service hatch in the underside of the appliance must always be accessible for service
activities!
Warning!
The air pressure between outdoors and indoors should be the same for maximum efficiency of
the warm air curtain.
