SETUP
Package Weigher (Mode of Operation = 6)
The Package Weigher is used to weigh LOADED containers with a permanent ID string and
does not use a stored tare weight associated with that ID string. This requires entering the
value of the empty container as a manual tare weight. The package weighing operation
features are selected in the Package Weigher Menu. To access the setup menus:
1. Press the SHIFT key and then the RED SQUARE navigation key.
2. The display will change to show the SETUP/REVIEW MENU.
3. Press the 1 key and then the ENTER key.
4. The display will change to show SETUP MENU #1.
With SETUP MENU #1 displayed the current setting for the 10. MODE OF OP=X
parameter will be shown. Press the 1 and 0 keys and then the ENTER key. The display will
change to show the Mode Of Operation Menu. Press the 6 key and then the
ENTER key to select 6. Package Weigher. The display will change to show the
Package Weigher Menu.
The Package Weigher Menu shows the selections for the Package Weigher setup parameters.
Package Weigher Menu
1. ID COUNT=X
2. PROMPT 1=ID
Enter Selection: X EXIT
1. ID COUNT=X NUMBER OF ID PROMPTS (Categories)
The ID COUNT is the number (up to 3) of ID prompts (categories) for a weighment. These
prompts will be displayed, one at a time, when the ID key is pressed. For example, if you
need to identify a product and customer, you would need 2 prompts.
2. PROMPT 1=PRODUCT
3. PROMPT 2=CUSTOMER
The display will show ID COUNT=X, where X is the current value. If the setting displayed
is acceptable, press the ENTER key to return to the Package Weigher Menu and continue
to 2. PROMPT 1=ID.
To change the current setting, press the 1 key and then the ENTER key. ID COUNT=X
will be displayed at the bottom of the display. Using the numeric keys, enter the new setting
and then press the ENTER key to save it and return to the Package Weigher Menu.
Allowable values are 1, 2 or 3.
NOTE! The value selected for ID COUNT=, will determine the number of prompts
(PROMPT X=) displayed following the ID COUNT= prompt.

2.PROMPT 1=ID PROMPT 1 NAME (1 to 12 Characters Alphanumeric)
The display will show PROMPT 1=XXXXXXXXXXXX where XXXXXXXXXXXX is the
current name for the first prompt. If the setting displayed is acceptable, If the setting
displayed is acceptable, press the ENTER key to return to the Package Weigher Menu and
continue to 3. PROMPT 2=ID2.
To change the current setting, press the 2 key and then the ENTER key. Using the
alphanumeric keys, enter up to 12 characters to refer to the first prompt and then press the
ENTER key to save it and return to the Package Weigher Menu.
3.PROMPT 2=ID2 PROMPT 2 NAME (1 to 12 Characters Alphanumeric)
The display will show PROMPT 2=XXXXXXXXXXXX where XXXXXXXXXXXX is the
current name for the first prompt. If the setting displayed is acceptable, If the setting
displayed is acceptable, press the ENTER key to return to the Package Weigher Menu and
continue to 4. PROMPT 3=ID3.
To change the current setting, press the 3 key and then the ENTER key. Using the
alphanumeric keys, enter up to 12 characters to refer to the first prompt and then press the
ENTER key to save it and return to the Package Weigher Menu.
4.PROMPT 3=ID3 PROMPT 3 NAME (1 to 12 Characters Alphanumeric)
The display will show PROMPT 3=XXXXXXXXXXXX where XXXXXXXXXXXX is the
current name for the first prompt. If the setting displayed is acceptable, If the setting
displayed is acceptable, press the ENTER key to return to the Package Weigher Menu and
continue to 3. PROMPT 2=ID2.
To change the current setting, press the 4 key and then the ENTER key. Using the
alphanumeric keys, enter up to 12 characters to refer to the first prompt and then press the
ENTER key to save it and return to the Package Weigher Menu.
Package Weigher Setup Completed
1. With the Package Weigher Menu displayed, press EXIT (Navigation Keys UP Arrow)
to return to the Mode of Operation Menu.
2. With the Mode of Operation Menu displayed, press EXIT (Navigation Keys UP Arrow)
to return to the SETUP MENU #1.
3. Press EXIT (Navigation Keys UP Arrow) to return to the SETUPMENU #1.
4. Press EXIT (Navigation Keys UP Arrow) to return to the SETUP/REVIEW MENU.
5. Press EXIT (Navigation Keys UP Arrow) to reset the indicator and return to normal
operations.

OPERATION
The 225 Package Weigher provides the means to:
1. Weigh loaded containers without associated tare weights in a single pass;
2. Print a record of each weighment associated with permanent ID’s;
3. Accumulate weighments associated with user defined permanent ID’s and descriptive
names (references);
4. Print a record of accumulated weighments sorted by user defined permanent ID’s and
descriptive names (references).
Permanent ID’s
Permanent ID’s are the identification system used for the Package Weigher accumulator
record. Each ID consists of two entries, the ID and the Reference (descriptive name for
reference and printout only), and may be any sequence of 1 to 12 alphanumeric characters.
Only permanent ID’s are accumulated.
SETUP EXAMPLE
Package Weigher Menu
1. ID COUNT=2
2. PROMPT 1=PRODUCT
3. PROMPT 2=CUSTOMER
Enter Selection: X EXIT
To Add Or Edit Permanent ID Strings:
1. Press the MEM key. The display will display Id= and the DELETE key.
2. Using the alphanumeric keys, enter up to a 12 digit alphanumeric ID string and press the
ENTER key.
3. The display will show Ref=XXXXXXXXXXXX, where XXXXXXXXXXXX is the
reference name associated with the ID. If the reference name is acceptable, press the
ENTER key. To change the reference name, Using the alphanumeric keys, enter up to
12 characters for the name and press the ENTER key.
4. The display will show 0 lb Accum. If the accumulator weight for the ID is acceptable,
press the ENTER key. To change the accumulator total, enter the new value and press
the ENTER key.
5. The indicator will return to normal operation.

NOTE! It is better to keep the ID= string short as it will have to be keyed in for each
weighment.
To Print All ID Strings:
1. Press the MEM key. The display will show Id= and the DELETE key.
2. Press the PRINT key. The display will show PRINTING while the printer records all
currently stored ID strings and the 225 will return to normal operation.
EXAMPLE PRINTOUT
To Print One Permanent ID String:
1. Press the MEM key. The display will show Id= and the DELETE key
2. Using the alphanumeric keys, enter the ID and then press the PRINT key.
3. A ticket containing the stored weight, the accumulated weight along with the ID will be
printed and the 225 will return to normal operation.
4. If the ID entered does not exist, the display will show ID NOT FOUND and the 225 will
return to normal operation.

OPERATION, CONT.
To Delete A Permanent ID String:
1. Press the MEM key. The display will show Id= and the DELETE key.
2. Using the alphanumeric keys, enter the ID to be deleted and then press the DELETE key.
3. The display will momentarily show the ID deleted.
4. The ID entered along with its associated accumulator will be deleted and the 225 will
return to normal operation.
To Delete All Permanent ID’s and Accumulators:
1. Press the MEM key. The display will show Id= and the DELETE key
2. Press the DELETE key.
3. The display will show DEL ALL?NO.
4. This is the prompt to determine if all ID’s and Accumulators are to be deleted.
5. If deleting all ID’s and Accumulators is not desired, with the display showing
DEL ALL?NO, press the ENTER key to return to return to normal operation.
6. To delete all ID’s and Accumulators, press the 1/YES key to change the display to
DEL ALL?YES and then press the ENTER key.
7. ALL PERMANENT ID’S AND ACCUMULATORS WILL BE DELETED!
8. The 225 will return to normal operation.

WEIGHMENT PROCESS
To Begin the Weighment Process:
1. Place the loaded container on the scale.
2. Enter the weight of the container and press the TARE key. The display will change
to NET weight.
NOTE! Following the ID entry, the PRINT or the ENTER key will cause a gross, tare, net
printout using the last tare value stored in memory (regardless of whether gross or net
weight is being displayed).
3. Press the ID key. The display will show Id1= or other prompt that was entered in
setup for PROMPT 1=.
One ID Prompt Selected in Setup (ID COUNT=1)
4. Enter one of the permanent ID’s stored earlier or another up to a 12 character
alphanumeric ID string and, if in setup, ID COUNT=1, then press the ENTER key.
5. The display will momentarily show Ref=XXXXXXXXXXX (the name entered as
Ref= for the permanent ID entered earlier). Press the PRINT key to store the weight
and print the ticket. Proceed to Step 10.
If in setup, ID COUNT=2 the display will show ID2= (the Prompt 2 Name selected in Setup).

6. Enter the second of the permanent ID’s stored earlier or another up to a 12 character
alphanumeric string for the second ID prompt and press the ENTER key.
7. The display will momentarily show Ref=XXXXXXXXXXX (the name entered as
Ref= for the permanent ID entered earlier). If only two ID prompts are needed, press
the PRINT key to store the weight and print the ticket. Proceed to Step 10.
If in setup, ID COUNT=3 the display will show ID3= (the Prompt 3 Name selected in Setup).

8. Enter the third of the permanent ID’s stored earlier or another up to a 12 character
alphanumeric string for the second ID prompt and press the ENTER key.
9. The display will momentarily show Ref=XXXXXXXXXXX (the name entered as
Ref= for the permanent ID entered earlier). If only two ID prompts are needed, press
the PRINT key to store the weight and print the ticket. Proceed to Step 10.
10. The 225 will print a ticket, display Print Pass 2, and
then return to the Gross weight display.
11. The weight will be added to the accumulator of the entered
permanent ID and the ticket printed will show the TIME,
DATE, ID, the Gross, Tare, and Net weights.

PERMANENT ID ACCUMULATORS
To View the PERMANENT ID Accumulators
1. Press the ACCUM key. The display will show ACCUMULATOR=.
2. To view a single ID accumulator, press the ID key. The display will show Id=.
3. Using the alphanumeric keys, enter the ID to be viewed and press the ENTER key.
4. The display will show Ref=XXXXXXXXXXXXX. Press the ENTER key.
5. The accumulator value of the ID entered will be displayed or if the accumulator value is
greater than (>) 999,999,999, OVERFLOW will be displayed.
6. Press the ENTER key to return to normal operation.
To Print a Single ID Accumulator
1. Press the ACCUM key. The display will show ACCUMULATOR=.
2. Press the ID key.
3. Using the alphanumeric keys, enter the ID and press the PRINT key.
4. The accumulator value for the ID entered will be printed.
5. The indicator will return to normal operation when printing has been completed.
EXAMPLE PRINTOUT
To Print All Active ID Accumulators
1. Press the ACCUM key. The display will show ACCUMULATOR=.
2. Press the ID key and then press the PRINT key.
3. The accumulator values for ALL active ID’s will be printed.
4. The indicator will return to normal operation when printing has been completed.
EXAMPLE PRINTOUT
To Zero a Single ID Accumulator
1. Press the ACCUM key. The display will show ACCUMULATOR=.
2. Press the ID key.
3. Using the alphanumeric keys, enter the ID and press the press the ENTER key. The
display will show Ref=XXXXXXXXXXXXX. Press the ENTER key.
4. Press the ZERO key.
5. The accumulator value for the ID entered will be reset to zero.
6. The indicator will return to normal operation when the ID entered has been zeroed.
