BEFORE YOU BEGIN
If your tapestry loom does not have
the hole marked D in diagram 1 and
either hole E or hole F on each side,
you must drill them in order to mount
the stand.
Dismantle your loom and mark the
holes with a pencil using the measure-
ments in diagram 2. Place a piece of
scrap wood under the loom sides and
drill holes D and F on each side using
a ¼" drill bit.
ATTACH THE FRAME UPRIGHT
TO THE SIDE OF THE LOOM
Push a 2½" carriage bolt through hole
D from the inside of the loom and into
the top hole A of the frame upright
(diagram 3). Tap the square part of
the carriage bolt into the loom side
using a hammer or mallet. Repeat for
the other side and securely fasten
with ¼" washers and wing nuts.
ATTACH THE ADJUSTER BAR
TO THE LOOM SIDE
Push a 1¾" carriage bolt through hole
E or F on the tapestry loom side and
into hole B on the adjuster bar. Tap
the square part of the carriage bolt
into the loom side using a hammer or
mallet and secure using a washer and
wing nut. Repeat for other side.
The adjuster bars t on the inside of
the stand, between the loom and the
frame upright.
ATTACH THE UPRIGHT
TO THE ADJUSTER BAR
Push a 1¾" carriage bolt from the
outside through hole C of the upright,
then through the long slot in the ad-
juster bar. Tap the square part of the
carriage bolt into the upright using
a hammer or mallet. Repeat for the
other side, and then secure with wash-
ers and wing nuts on the bolts. Loosen
the wing nuts to adjust your stand to
the desired weaving position. •
